📱 What screen recorder am I using?
I use Camtasia to make all my videos. From my experience it's the best screen recorder available, and I like the built in video editor and cursor effects. Check it out here: techsmith.z6rjha.net/ba9x0M

Nice work Rick. In all my years of using Inkscape I have not used clip and mask that much but for ideas like this it's a must. Very impressive and I do enjoy seeing how other people use the tool to create art. I must get into the filters as they look interesting. Thanks for sharing and hope you're feeling better.

Great video!! Under Gaissian Blur I only have size slider not effect parameters. Any idea how to fix that?
Very cool and close to what I was looking for. Do you think this would work with a person in the photo? Heidi

Thanks and I think the technique could work with any subject. I did one with my kids' image. Try to find a neutral background behind your subject so the watercolor bleed will transition more smoothly.
I really enjoyed this video, please can you do a video on a web page design?

Thanks! And, that's a great idea. I'm not a pro, but I'll see if I can put something together.
Thank you so much for doing this! Question: can a template be made for this project so that we can just replace the base photo with another one to save time on setting the watercolor effect then just adjust colors as needed? I was just wondering if this can be done in a much faster way specially when doing multiple projects using the same effect. Would appreciate your reply! TIA

Thanks and great question! I have had good luck with saving projects I want to repeat as templates. But sometimes the tool settings get overridden. There may be a way to define the watercolor settings permanently in preferences, but I haven't found it yet. I know its just math, but Inkscape watercolor is hard to replicate. For speed, sometimes I open an old project directly and begin from there if the watercolor was doing nicely.
I would like to see an online version of this program. Something that you could use online without downloading to your computer. Is there a way to do that? Or Does inkscape have an API?

This is my dream. Even if it was a lite version- anything online would be a great asset.
Hello Rick, Would you recommend a mouse that would work well with Inkscape? Thank you, David

Great question! I don't have a great answer, because I haven't tried enough models to really know. I use a Logitech M150 wireless mouse. Pretty basic.
im having a doubt can i do free lancing with inkscape..will people show trust in it or will they prefer adobe illustrator
@IronEchoDesign

That is a feeling I think many a designer has had. I believe the industry standard is still Adobe Illustrator, but for freelance it really comes down to skill and the quality of what you create. So Inkscape, Illustrator, Affinity Desigber... all tools to help you achieve some project goal.

What is the future of logo designing as AI is replacing the job of designers
@IronEchoDesign
Жыл бұрын
I think about this a lot. I know technology like Inkscape has helped me tremendously with speed of design- like with Trace Bitmap. AI will make design process almost instant. Someone still has to curate what is the best choice. What is cool and what is throwaway. I feel like writing an essay on this. Amazing question. Thanks!
