Good tutorial. Wasnt sure if inskape can do do wjat photo shop or illustrator can do in regards to erasing objects and shape or elements from an image.

I’ve had inkscape for a while and my eraser stopped working a few months ago and I haven’t been able to fix it. Any suggestions other than maybe deleting inkscape and reinstalling?

Hmm that is a great question - I would agree, either delete and reinstall, or go to "About" and see if you have the latest version?

does ink scape have a erase refine edge brush for like hair fusses?

There are pretty limited options - when you select the eraser tool, at the top there is a "thinning" option (and a couple of hours). It is definitely not the same as Photoshop in that regard

anybody know how to change the eraser color back to red? I changed a setting and it turned black.

Go to "Edit" menu then select "Preferences" When it opens. Select in tools "Eraser Tool" in this point to " this tools own style:" Thanks

How do we delete an object?

It's the first example - dragging your eraser through the object.

My eraser just draws more lines. What am I doing wrong?

If you are dragging the eraser over an image (like a PNG), it won't do anything. If you select the eraser tool, you need to drag it over an SVG file and you can start erasing

I dont have erase tool where it is

On the left menu, there is a little eraser button (about four from the bottom)
