    thank you for your review!!! i have the bisop and the same nano titan, and yet, i keep going back to the titan. I actually run the lining around 10 to 10.2v and color packing around 9.5v but still scratching my head what voltage to use for stippling. any suggestion? same as bishop fantom? im using critical tattoo supply and going against my eikon, it does play a big part with the led light. i also tried chinese knock off and it will definitely tell by its blue light if your having polarity issues as i see it on my line work when using a knock off power supply and cheaper rca cable and my go to rca right now is the bishop and the connectivity really smooths the healing process.

    Hey bud, I love your reviews. But I have a question regarding this machine. I do a bit of neotraditional work so I’m used to pulling fat chunky lines, do you ever snag or hook skin when using this machine to line? I have the 3.25 stroke that comes with it and Im using a rigid bar, running it at about 14V for softer areas. Could I get your thoughts on it?

    Hey man! Watched all your videos and they helped me out a ton. The reason I am commenting is that I run into a big issue with the Inkjecta and I can't wrap my head around the solution. First things first, thanks to you I got the Inkjecta Nano and ditched my Xion because the hit was to spongy. Now, I've fallen in love with the Nano very fast, using a rigid bar and a 3.5mm stroke, lining small stuff (3rl + 5rl and whipshaded dots for texture). The problem that occured is that after some use (lets say 1 hour) with the same cartridge (using Kwadrons) the inkflow is starting to get worse and worse, disrupting the lining process visibly and I notice some Ink residue thats drying up in the cartridge while I'm tattoing and I think that causes the issue. Atleast thats the only thing that I can think of, having tried numerous attempts at troubleshooting: I already talked with colleagues and brainstormed for a solution, adjusted the give so the needle doesnt stick as far out, make sure to not use a lot of vaseline so it doesnt get into the tube, make sure I wipe very carefully excess ink on a papertowl when its dripping without getting paper inside. My head is exploding and it sucks so much. Tattooing and being concerned about it and questioning when the inkflow starts to get shitty. For now I have to switch to a new needle after 1 hour but that certainly cant be the solution? Maybe you can help me out here, I sadly don't know any tattooer that uses a cartridge machine personally. Cheers

    Sith Sloth ok so I often had that issue with kwadrons as well, I ultimately figure it’s a quality control issue that pops up from time to time, I don’t think it’s machine issue at all. Are you able to try out another brand and see if the same issues come up? I’m currently running DaVinci carts by Bishop, they’re membraned cartridges very good quality. It may just be a matter of switching brands

I have one question though, I have always used coils but its getting to heavy for my hands because I am doing really fine lines and dot work for hours and hours. So I decided, my next machine will be a pen. What machine do you recommend for my style? I'm not sure yet... Bishop Fantom, Inkjecta Elite Nano or even something else? It hard do decided...

    Mona Sax thanks I’m glad they’re helpful! First off both are great machines but neither is a pen style so you’d also need to purchase a grip or use disposables. If you’re doing mainly linework and dots I’d say go with the Inkjecta, you’ll have more adjustability with it that helps the transition between coils and rotary. If you want an actual pen I’d recommend the Cheyenne Sol Nova or the Hawkpen, both are fantastic machines and well suited to linework and basically everything else in my opinion.

    Thanks for the review mate, very good, really clear and informative and well presented. I know your busy, but if you have time to answer a question for me . I would really appreciate your thoughts. I'm using coils for a good few years. Always liked to run fast and hit hard. But now I'm tired of the constant messing around with them. Tried a few rotarys, and found them too slow and not hard hitting enough for me. But I still hoping there is one out there for me. One that hits more like a coil, also I prefer a large heavy grip. l'm really a fan of the more traditional style tattoos, rock solid lines . I'm now stuck between getting the bishop phanton and the inkjecta. Could one of these be the answer I'm looking for ? Thanks , and thanks for the reviews

    jason kelly glad it helped man thanks for checking it out. Ok so for sure for what you’re looking for the inkjecta is the better choice of the two, there are so many setup options you’ll absolutely be able to find a sweet spot with it if you put the time in. Besides that it’s fast, like insanely fast so you’ll never need to run it to it’s full potential and you’ll still get the speed of a fast coil, it also hits snappy and crisp so it feels similar to a good fast coil and can be turned down to hit like a smooth shader. Overall great transition machine. My other choice would be the sol nova, all the speed, solid crisp hit and similar feel to a fast coil when lining so it might be a good option for your style as well, I can easily line up to a loose 18rd (and beyond) and it’s one of the only rotaries I’ve ever used that can lay down a really good peppery whipshade, also comes with the 1 1/4” grip that you may like so maybe something to think of. Hope that helps man, thanks again for watching!

    Hi, I had a look at your work which look top notch. I have a couple of questions. What machine would you recommend for color realism - layering if you were to use only one? a) is Inkjecta Nano Elite a good choice? b) also what crank/stroke you’re using with your Inkjecta - is it a standard 3.2 mm? c) do you have any experience working with Cheyenne Spirit and is 2.5 mm stroke enough for color realism? They now have MkII version of Spirit but it doesn’t seem like any big step forward from the previous version. d) what about vibrations these machine produce - Inkjecta and Spirit? e) Are Bishops either Fantom or Microangelo a good alternatives to Inkjecta (for color realism). A few questions to answer :), but if you find spare moment I’d appreciate your feedback greatly. Thanks.

    Łukasz D.P.G.Channel hey thanks! Ok so if I could only pick one it would be either a hawk pen or the sol nova, while it’s true that there hasn’t been much progress in terms of Cheyennes technology in the last 5 years I think the machines they produce are still far superior to anything else out there. Nothing’s perfect but they’re close. As far as stroke length that’s a very personal choice, I prefer 3.2-3.5mm but stroke length doesn’t necessarily dictate how well you can do a certain style with a particular machine. Hope that helps!

    @@anthonyjenkins3335 Thanks. But what makes Hawk Pen such a go for it machine? As far as its construction concerned it’s just Cheyenne pen grip with a motor - pretty much as Xion which is basically an Ergo Grip with a motor placed on top. Is it a 3.5 mm stroke, overall balance or is it more powerful motor making it such a good machine? For the same money you can get duo of Spirit and Thunder (using disposable grips) - so you get variable stroke 2.5mm and 4mm, and then you use two motors not one all the time, hence machines should last longer.

    Hey so that’s a tough one! The hawkpen is the superior machine for sure of those 3 with the Inkjecta coming a close second. The Inkjecta has dozens of setup options and potentially could be a tough trial and error for you transitioning straight from coils but it does have the capability of more speed and a closer feel to a coil of you take the time to set it up the way you want. The hawkpen is better all around with no adjustments and I wouldn’t be too concerned with it breaking after a year, you have to think if you can put 1000 hours worth of tattoos on a machine before you need to have it repaired or replaced it’s definitely payed for itself, you couldn’t do the same with a coil without rebuilding it. I’d completely avoid the xion, it’s useful for realism but has a spongey hit compared to the other two and is much slower so not the best fit for traditional work as well as having serious reliability issues, just because all the guys who got that machine for free because they’re on the fk pro team say it’s great doesn’t make it so unfortunately. Hope that helps

    Anthony im a traditional work (old school) style tattoo artist.. still using coil. I have change now to cartridge with disposable grip on the coil.. and i love the cartridge system. That sabe me a lot of time. But im thinking of buying a rotary tattoo machine or a pen style machine.. i do a lot of lining works.. traditional.. and black and gray work.. I like to know what will you recommend me. For now my first choice on my list after a lot of research is the Inkjecta (titan) but im still thinking between.. inkjecta titan, bishop fantom, sol nova pen, bishop wand pen, with your experience what do you think will make me happy.. 😁 Switching from coil to ratary or pen.. I do a lot of small works.. names etc.. a lot of black filled work.. but trying to start doing more and more black and grey.. im not a profesional artist but im on my way.. 🙏🏼 Thanks.. and keep doing you good reviews.. straight to the point..

    do you think a carbon fiber frame will be reliable 10, 20 plus years later vs metal frames?

  • @anthonyjenkins3335

    @anthonyjenkins3335

    jorgeaservin rotary motors don’t last 10, 20 plus years of hard daily use so it’s irrelevant how the frame will hold up anyway but yes carbon fibre is stronger than steel and properly made cf will absolutely hold up

  • @jorgeaservin

    @jorgeaservin

    what you said makes perfect sense, for me its hard not to compare it with coil frames, as long as those frames are ok you can always change what ever is necessary, may be im wrong but it looks like rotary machines are treated like disposables after some time

  • @aceadam1828

    @aceadam1828

    jorgeaservin depending on the machine you can buy replacement motors or send it in. It is obivously more expensive then replacing parts on a coil but it also saves so much time with crtrdges. We all know time is money so it evens out in my opinion. But they are not meant to be thrown away. Motors just die after some time and can be replaced usually.

    jorgeaservin oh man that’s tough!! If I could only have one machine for the rest of my career at this point it would be the hawkpen, just because I’ve used one for so many years that I know it better than any other machine, there’s something to be said for predictability in a set up I think.

    It's TattooIEG I’m currently using the corded foot switch from critical as well and I’ve been really happy with it, reasonably priced and I like being able to swap out the cord if it wears out. I also like the “premier” foot switch from Eikon device, it had a dedicated cord and you have to take apart the foot switch to replace it if needed but it’s really well made and lasts forever

    Hey man, great reviews, I just started using Inkjecta and kwadron cartridges. I was wondering if you could help me with some tip. Yesterday i was using a kwadron Soft edge 13 mag (30) , and i had problems with the needle leaving more visible and substantial marks on both ends of the needle, Which makes no sense to me as its curved mag. I had this kind of problem when i was using coils and straight 11 mag or bigger groupings - also leaving these side needle marks both on each end of the needle. (like the side needles were hanging out a bit more than the center needles) Have you ever encountered this problem ? I have checked the needle with magnifier and it seemed all-right . Thank you Tomas The Czech Rep. @featherworks_tattoos
