Awesome video! Very informative, specially on how to set up the bluetooth and wifi. I ordered this thermometer after watching your video and Amazon had it with $50 dollars off, so I feel this is a bargain.

I think I have a lemon. Temperature readings in icewater were about 8 deg F too low. Room temperature readings were 4-5 F too low. I calibrated using ice water but after doing that readings at 160 deg were way too high. I wound up setting calibrations back to 0 and now it seems fairly accurate at typical meat temperatures. I'm going to exchange this one for another one, hopefully that will solve the problem. Feature-wise, I really like this unit, but a thermometer that isn't accurate is kind of useless.

Excellent video for setting up the Inkbird IBBQ - 4BW. However, water boils at 212°F NOT 112°F !!!!

Just noticed that in the manual, under specifications, says "Calibration temperature range: -7C to +7C (-12.8F to +12.8F)." First, -7C to +7C does not translate to +/-12.8F. The corresponding F range would be 19.4F to 44.6F. But the question is, what does this mean? Is it saying that you should calibrate somewhere in this range? If so I assume they want you to use icewater and calibrate at 0 C. I calibrated mine at about 130F because that's my temperature range where I need accuracy.

Hi Jim, I can see how this is confusing. -7C to +7C doesn't mean -7 degrees to +7 degrees, it means a swing of 7 units of C in either direction. So for example, if the temp is 32 degrees a swing of plus or minus 7 degrees would mean you have a range between 25 and 39. When you do the ice water test if your probe reads between these two values you can calibrate it to be 32C. For calibration, you can only move the original reading up or down 7 degrees, which should be enough. As for your statement "-7C to +7C does not translate to +/-12.8F. The corresponding F range would be 19.4F to 44.6F." again, the -7 and +7 means units of temp. One unit of Celsius is equal to 1.8 units of Fahrenheit. So 7 units is 7x1.8 = 12.6

Hi, I've had no issues with this thermometer. I have to say I have been lucky with all thermometers I have bought as they have worked as expected. But I always have a handful of people that tell me about problems they have had with their units once I do a review. So obviously no thermometer is 100% perfect and maybe you got a defective unit. Hopefully you are still in warranty and can return the thermometer.

@@GoShindig Thanks for the answer, I changed two and the problem was the same. I contacted support and they told me that in order for it to charge and not turn off while charging, there must be a probe inserted
