The engine sounds were achieved trough editing all the different sound channels within the film by muting channels that contained music, speech etc.
Unfortunately I could not remove the Eurobeat fully, this is the best I could do.

Without the music feels more intense and it makes it better, the suspension builds up more, with the music is more distracting wich sucks

I love the music that goes along with the races, but you're right; without the music, the race scenes are a lot more intense, especially here when Takumi was angry.
