Actually , at the moment they raced , Ryosuke was the better racer buut racing on akina was a big mistake and he forgot about his strategy after takumi's mistake. Racing on any other street Ryosuke would've won that race

AE86 VS. FC3S. In my opinion, this is one of the best initial d races ever. The suspense, expectations and suprises of ths race. The best scene in the race was when takumi took the inside after ryosuke slid sideway because of the front tires making takumi win.
