There's plenty of justification to give May bleeding eyes, as at this pressure, her blood vessels would've burst. The fact they they *haven't* makes this even more horrifying.

You can really feel May's desolation and hopelessness in her chromatics at 2:30. I feel like she's not even trying to be saved anymore, after all there is no world left to be safe in; she's instead afraid of spending eternity in a watery grave she built for herself. Being it a reminder of her failure with her Pokémon, her friends, family and not to mention absolutely everyone on earth. It'll be just her and Roselia carrying that burden under the evergrowing ocean's pressure 'till the end of time... Yikes.

Brendan idea: Omega Ruby, Brendan fails to stop Team Magma from unleashing Primal Groudon onto the world. The world is destroyed in a volcanic storm, leaving the earth a scorched mess with all liquid being magma and metal. One by one, Brendan's team succumbed to the scorching heat and the terrain landscape except for two. The only pokemon remaining with Brendan was his Wailord and Macargo. Since Brendan was able to wander around on the surface, his two pokemon kept him alive throughout his journey to stop the heat from its source: Primal Groudon itself. They found the legendary after some wandering, but his remaining team was not ready in the slightest. He could not use wailord due to not carrying a non-water move, so he sent out his Macargo. Before he could give it a single command, it was ruthlessly torn apart by Primal Groudon's Preciple Blades. Brendan would find out later that Macargo was the lucky one, as at least it got to have an end to its suffering. Groudon let out a devastating roar as it unleashed a lava plume. In an attempt to save its trainer, Wailord used Aqua Ring on itself and Brendan. It quickly regretted this, as both itself and Brendan were engulfed in a sea of magma. His body was scorched and burned beyond belief; Nothing could have prepared him for the pain he endured. He tried to grab his pokeball to recall Wailord to stop the aqua ring. Wailord tried to return to its pokeball. They both were in too much pain to bear, they both wanted to simply die already. Brendan didnt have much left besides a barely functioning clump of ash for an arm, but he still did not feel a pokeball. He searched his entire body all he could while flowing in the lava stream, but it was nowhere to be found. He had lost Wailord's pokeball in an endless sea of burning magma. He had lost his only chance to end his suffering. Now he and Wailord were tossed along a sea of magma more violent than even something Kyogre could create. Eventually, they lost eachother. They both had to suffer for an eternity in an endless magma storm, all alone, unable to stop feeling the pain because they would always heal it back.

And then, in pokemon emerald version, it's vs a lamenting Wally. Both Kyogre and Groundon have been freed. Brendon and May each went to try to stop one of the 2 beasts while Wally went to find Rayquaza, both failing, and suffering their tragic fates of eternal pain. Then Wally comes back with Rayquaza. Upon seeing the fates of his 2 friends, Wally becomes depressed. Rayquaza is completely disturbed and enraged by what happened to these 2 poor trainers. In a fit of pure rage, Rayquaza goes berserk and kills the 2 legendary pokemon. This causes a massive cataclysm, destroying pretty much everything, including Wally's pokemon. Now all that's left is Wally, Rayquaza, and the 2 suffering trainers and pokemon. Wally wanders the now destroyed Hoenn region, with his only company being Rayquaza, as he laments about his 2 friends who are suffering, and everyone else who has perished.

something about this backstory and concept just hits so much deeper than the original monochrome. the thought of being at the very bottom of a basically endless ocean without being able to drown while also being completely bound by vines is a truly terrifying image. your only option is to live out your life with no one to talk to but your only living pokemon. the song is great tho

A protagonist meeting a grim end actually sounds like a really cool subplot or something in a pokemon game.

I'd love to see a full mod of this. The story is so terrifying and the song is so good.

Jeez, this mix feels WAY more desperate in tone compared to Monochrome, which makes it good for its theme. Also, the Grass Skirt Chase leitmotif at 2:04 is so sneaky wtf.

I think that the Frostbite Hoenn mix could be the Team Aqua leader that thought that he could control Kyogre´s power. When he saw that it didn´t work he felt betrayed and just let himself die to the tide. then he just finds May in the depths as he slowly drowns until his skin starts deteriorating and he starts the second part.

honestly the backstory of this reminds me of sink, both having someone trapped underwater who is unable to die, also the backstory is AMAZINGLY horrific, i love it also, how would bf be witnessing this? is he like looking over may and roselia in a spirit form? cause i can't imagine bf would be able to sing underwater without drowning _unless..._

I'm not sure if you'll ever read this comment, but I just wanna say.. thank you. You've made probably what is my favorite FNF mod and song. See, I love the Hoenn Region, it was my first Pokemon Game ever (Sadly it wasn't RSE it was ORAS, but hey, still good) and I still play it to this very day, even when 3DS Servers shut down I'm going to keep playing. I play Omega Ruby more often then Alpha Sapphire simply due to preference, but there were always Omega Ruby and Ruby creepypastas, with no Alpha Sapphire ones, but this! THIS! This might be the very first one. And I love it to pieces. Love every last thing about it. The intro slowly building up to that badass beat drop (and when that happens in the mod, that's when we "see" May, which is just an awesome touch), the nice touch of Rosalia's INGRAIN healing May during the song, the song reference to SpongeBob. It's just... perfect. The jumpscares in version 2 aren't horrifying at all, nor are they cringy like FNaF SB ones, instead it's more of a "sad" jumpscare, what I mean is, you can just TELL that May is suffering and just wants to die. It's a scream of pleading. The guilt has GOT to be crushing her to smithereens... maybe even more than the water pressure is.. It inspired me, really it honestly did. I love this mod so much that I'd love it if I could program a whole ass game about it using HomeBrew or something. Sadly, I can't code anything and it probably wouldn't be all that good of a game, not only that but I'd be way too shy to ask for permission to do it anyway. And I've heard some other of your tracks that aren't Hoenn Mix and I love them all so much as well, you are a very talented individual and I just can't WAIT to see more. Thank you, for making what is now my favorite song, and my favorite creepypasta. God bless.

I'm actually interested on how a full concept would like on this one! Also, I LOVE this mix, while it keeps the same feeling Monochrome has, it does a good job on trying to be unique on its own! Oh, and the occasional Grass Skirt Chase references too.

You know, for some reason this mix got me thinking of a Monochrome Alola Mix Where like Elio is going through Ultra Space on Lunala or something but like something happens and he's just stranded there in Ultra Space on his own I can't tell if it's in one of the Ultra Wormholes or just the section of Ultra Space where you ride through it or what not 'Devoid' would probably be the song's name if I ever learn music theory and decide to make it.

I imagine her animations being similar to sink.exe’s but she’s reaching out to you instead Other ideas: If the added part of the song gets included I imagine its May with ripping off the vine (somehow) or her ripping off her body parts and begins to chase you in the water. In pasta instead of it being Ethan in balloons it's May with vines attached to one of her feet limbing and would look like she just came out of the pool (rosella would probably be following her).

well to be fair gold in monochrome is just a shell of what he used to be, with unowns controlling him like puppets inhabiting his forgotten corpse, golds death is slightly more worse than may's undead drowning situation because at least she was the champion and would be remembered for awhile, unlike gold who died shortly after becoming champ

May could theoretically have a chance of being saved if someone was able to get a shed shell down to her. May is Ingrained by Roselia. That means roselia can't switch out. However, if someone was able to get a shed shell down and equip it on Roselia could then switch out for something, even if it's a dead corpse, and ingrain's effect would wear off, and may would finally die.

Since this is where Team Aqua won, I'm making a concept for Kanto Mix of Hoenn Mix where Team Rocket won and now Red and his one remaining Pokemon live trying to hide from Giovanni and his army after all the people he knows and the rest of the region are brainwashed and turned into mindless servants by Mewtwo. I am Tails.EXE.

Your Hoenn Mixes are easily the best Lullaby fansongs This one especially I genuinely like more than the official Monochrome it feels so much more emotional I'd love to see an Insomnia mix to finish off the Lost Silver songs I'd love to see these as it's own mod Keep it up!

Oh come on man.

I came with a sinnoh mix for Monochrome. Lucas/Diamond is unable to stop Cyrus and Dialga, so time gets reset for Cyrus’ new world. Before he does this, Diamond uses his Drifblim to fly away, but while he was in the air, time starts going back, and Drifblim devolves to Drifloom. Diamond’s Drifloon can’t hold him so he falls from very high. Since he wasn’t affected by Dialga, he is stuck in a state between being alive and dead.

I like this. Thanks for making such a fine remix.

2:04 a Grass Skirt Chase leitmotiv is actually pretty funny considering that she's underwater

This song sends true chills down my spine and I am in pure aw of how fantastic and horrifying this sounds! Though it does make you think of some dark alternate realities that could have happened in pokemon that may truly scare most of us if we say some of our most beloved characters fall to such grim fates. Similar to Stories such as the creepypastas we all know of but we can't fully explain the truth behind them some even seem so crazy . . . But even crazy stories can be true. I'm rambling a bit huh? Well either way this is one of my new favorites to listen to and you did a fantastic and amazing job on it keep it up

Thanks to this video i ended up looking up if plants die of old age. Thankfully they do ,the longest lived plant known of is 4,854 years though. But hey ,at least may dosent have to suffer forever!

Tbh I’m not familiar at all with Pokémon, but this is incredibly creative and honestly one of the best “Hypno Mix’s” I think I’ve ever heard! Well done overall!

This was amazing, now where's the omega ruby mix. but seriously this cover is amazing and taking one of my favorite gens in pokemon and making a monochrome mix is amazing but also speaking of omega ruby why not make cover of it, if you want to that is and I would love to see it as a frostbite cover as I have a idea for it. So basically Brendan failed to stop team magma and Primal Groudon has been unleashed to the world, causing the planet to suffer a powerful heat wave which of course caused actual flames, but not only that but as time goes on the heat on a normal person gets worse and worse, Brendan was searching for a way to survive when he spots may but may looks different as the don't look a cheery as they usually do, I wonder what happened to them. Just saying if you need any ideas, and who know how the perish version would go.

This is actually really sad. The description of this is insane.. poor may😔....i like the song for this au and I hope this eventually gets a mod because this is too good. I even want to make fanart of this too (if you dont mind). But yah, so sad and scary

if there is a galan mix, i would love that the pokemon that try to save his trainer is ethernatus, he just got reminded by his trainer about how precious life truly is, and he would refuse to see his trainer die against a posseded pokemon (in this case the legendairy wolf depending on the version you choose) and decide to give him his power, seemingly fussionning with his trainer, but since his trainer is on the edge of death, he technicly now suffer forever due do the pain that he can't get rid off, and can't die due to ethernatus god like power.

Just like the original Monochrome, the screams actually fit the song and would feel weird without it. Sounds great :)

An idea for Terraria ver. for this song if anyone's willing (because I'm in love with the game [as well as the content mods the community makes]): Okay, I don't know what to name it, but it goes like this: The Abominationn (from Fargo's Souls Mod) is tormented by a stupidly sadistic player who flooded one part of the world with lava, with him in it. The Player made a house for the Nurse with bubble blocks as one wall, and she keeps the Abominationn alive, Abominationn (name can be anything from Doof [my fav] to a custom name) tries to smash a needle away to let him burn, but it solidified on one side of his face, causing one side to always be in mint condition, with some of the healing power spreading to his other parts, while still being destroyed enough to bring discomfort and pain to Abomination, the player is still in pre-hardmode, so they use 30-stack potions, being obsidian skin, and gills, at the end of the song, a dialogue with the Moonlord void effect will say, "I'll only tell you this once, stop tormenting me like this, in fact, just stop in general, I hate this punishment for nothing..." *screen fades to black* "...so please... ...STOP..." ... Well, holy shit this is dark.

I’m not exactly sure if you intended to say “ ‘We’ will never forget “. But even if so, that wordplay is absolutely stellar when matched with the story, no joke. As if the “you” is focused towards our helpless song opponent who may never live past her failed attempt, with nothing to go back to even if she was somehow free from this cycle.

Even after essentially 2 - 3 years (from the date this vid was posted) , I still love this song to death.

Ingrain must be so painful to non grass types because its literally roots from the ground getting dug into your skin tight enough to stay on after getting hit by a move from another pokemon

simply incredible! everything is very good, the music/remix, the story and the art of this video is very good and I managed very well to convey the ''feeling'' of sadness. I really feel sorry for may for that and her pokemon that just wanted to help her but ended up only making their situation worse, which wasn't very good. i really hope you or some fans make a week of this song in the future, with animated sprites, chart and ect. although I find it quite difficult for you to want a week of this music, but you never know. I think you should make a V2 version of this remix based on the V2 of monochrome. Of course, you are not obliged to do this, you can do it if you want, I'm just giving a suggestion. if you don't want it, no problem.

I think instead of “Hoenn mix” it should be “Hoenn regional form” or something like that

Technically this is cannon because in Pokémon ultra sun and moon you meet both team magma and aqua where in there own lines they won but that's a just a theory an poketheory

Idea for a hellbell replacement: I think the song should either take place ontop of Mt Pyre or Mt Chimney For the Bronzong I would say Chimecho should be in thier place as it's also a pokemon related to sound(either that or a Exploud but idk) As for Buelza I really don't have any ideas othe than maybe a hex or physic?
