I recently saw an article about touch screens versus actual buttons and dials. Once your hand is on a switch or dial you don’t need to continue to look at it , but a touch screen you might have to look at the different buttons just for one function or watch a bar to show the level of adjustment.

for $8000... thats far over a 100 tanks of diesel worth over 50 000km in my guzzler and 100 000km in my Wife's sensible 2L Sedan

That solar array on a Tesla roof is stupid. It might give you 32 (or whatever it was) miles range in 5 hours, but it'll cost you more than that in range due to destroying the aerodynamics of the car.

They need to have self driving gas cars as an option.

Their monopoly system prevents corporations from building vehicles, the right way, because if ford started to build vehicles the right way, and not change the parts, yearly and not put carpet on the flooring it would only encourage the other corporations to build a better vehicle, but this system is constructed to allow certain countries to build certain vehicles better, just so they can flex who they are. It’s a bias system that prevents products from being made the right way.

Monopolies only exists because of regulations. Regulations that make it to expensive for competitors to exist. Antitrust laws and regulatory rules exist to keep monopolies in place "for the good of the economy," "for national security, or just "for the greater good."
