Halfway through the video and I'm stopping it now. Funny content but whoever compiled it is an idiot.

I took that picture of the truck with the wooden bumper shown at 3:10 in anchorage, AK in the Spenard area on 9/11/22 at 12:02 and I posted it to r/redneckengineering later that evening

I can prove it, too. I've got the uncropped picture
I seriously applaud some of this stuff. It's better than throwing away everything the second it breaks.
That spanner padlock is genius

Actually not all you have to do is pull it to the right. It’s not secured to anything.
some of these are actually really kewl.
The guy with the green beetle camper is Mav. He’s got a YT channel - great guy and lots of fun to watch his adventures.
Okay, admittedly, the first rule of Redneck Engineering is: "If it works, it ain't dumb." However, some of this stuff is downright dangerous.

Absolutely.
Using a drill to power a food processer and turning an fan into a mixer is pretty damn genius!
Isn't that Mav's Beetle camper? He's probably out getting some supplies for his next trip lol

That’s totally Mav. I even went back and looked at some of his videos to confirm and it’s correct down to the bumper sticker! 😂😂

There was a friend of mine that made a "redneck lamp" . He got an old bowling pin and using a very long drill bit , drilled a hole all the way through from top to bottom . He then bought an electrical cord and the lamp hardware . He fed the wire through the hole in the bowling pin ,wired the lamp socket , installed the lamp hardware , and DONE !! I've seen these online mainly from ebay but I like the idea that a guy made one himself !
The bridge one is actually super common. It's just a old flatcar body that was retired and turned into a bridge, a lot of pipeline and gas companies buy them because they're cheap and strong, and usually a land owner will buy them after because they last forever
2:10 ish. The ratchet with the pliers & centered Hex bit socket is a great idea. If I could add something it would a be sleeve for gripping & to hide a utility blade.
The VW Beatle /RV is actually in the possession of another KZreadr who does rural camping and adventure video blogs. He normally drives a silver Ford Pickup, but bought the modified Beatle while on a trip, he had to have it I guess.
1:27 This one hits close to home. I'm watching this video on my phone while it's being held to my car's sun visor by 2 elastic hair bands/ties.🤣😂
Some of these are actually clever. The guy carrying the sheet of ply on his own. I've seen that before. Ain't no rednekking there ya'll. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That toilet grill gave me the rest...

Yeah, that one made me shake my head and laugh. Did you notice that the tank was now an ice chest?
@1:15 : I lived in Puerto Rico for three years when I was in the Navy and out in town the family behind me had their house tied down like this just before Hurricane Hugo hit on September 18 , 1989 . Their house survived intact but many houses did not . I saw a brand new two -story house being built around the neighborhood and when Hurricae Hugo hit all that was left was the concrete foundation and stairs going to nowhere .
The one wrench thing….I thought that’s how it’s supposed to be done 🤣
The green beetle camper is Mav
@ 6:22, could definitely throw in a PUNishing joke and say he/she was a "crappy" cook, lol. 😂 A lot of these displayed things are pretty ingenuitive. :)
Some of those really are genius!!
Dude. These are awesome 😂
This is great! Thanks!
I gotta try that water heater😂
I made my own CD and DVD shelves from ready available shelves from a hardware store .
That battery hack s genius. Stores shut so i Used is as soon as i saw it
I haven't laughed so hard for ages!
2.42 is that the legion 5 with 40 series card ot 20 series card or even GTX card?(I use a laptop stand but my laptop stil goes to 85C under load
Some ingenious ideas here.
Don't worry. I used two half pipes and metal straps to keep my chair from dropping lower.
dat air fresherner thou
Mavs camper beetle lol... that's not redneck, it's actually innovative 👍✨
The question has to be asked… “ Does it work though?”
Just because we talk slow doesn't mean we're stupid 😁
The straps over the roof...yowza
There used to be a show on tv about hillbilly engineering. Forgot the name of the show but they do amazing things improvising. They talk like Boomhauer but think like Archemedes.

Boomhauer? King of the Hill? The one who mumbled? 🤣🤣
5:50 I seen kipkays video on this called the fountain of flavor!
Is that bridge an old flat train car? Cause thats exactly what we use. Cheap, easy to install & will b there till the end of time!
@sudriansignalman9387

Yup it is. Extremely common in pipeline and oil and gas companies too. Railcars have a lifespan of 50 years before they have to be retired or undergo a extensive and expensive inspection for certification (former railcar repairman here) due to federal regulations. My grandfather was in pipelining and oil/gas for over 40 years, they bought hundreds of flatcars to use for this exact purpose.

@@sudriansignalman9387 cool. Did not know that about the 50 yr life. A guy at my huntn camp has dozers, tractors, dirt pans, etc. He installs a bunch of em for people
0:12 - With that shed lock, can't you still pull the wrench out by pulling the handle end of it with the lock on it out away from the hook, pulling it to the left?
9:45 doubles as sand blaster
Don't we need bees right now? 😬😬😬
5:02 ???????
Hey there is some good ideas there. Lol
How secured are those tesla generators?
Toilet grill?? Just don't use the self-pressed Sausages! 🤪 No, but seriously, some of them are great Ideas, and for the others: If it works, it's not dumb either 😊
Gotta admit some of the things look odd but then again they make do with what they got with out going out and buying expensive new items.
thats mavs camper lol he is soooo cool
Can you show that one more time, but slower. We can't keep up, try'n to make notes here.
Music drove me away faster than lame pics

please not never use water for oil fires nore for electric fires!, a actual fire extinguisher that lists it you can put out oil fires and electric fires
0:42 that is more like a mexican thing.
5.22 lol
0:14 is actually pretty clever. 2:09 is too. 3:09 not this country. 3:11 So ratchet.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
