Starting at the end of 2:33 there is an ascending scale that starts with F and ends, on the score, with two high C's (and that's how it's sung in all other recordings I've heard). Hallstein, however, opted for a high F at the end, resulting in extra brilliance while sounding natural and unobtrusive. A superb rendition.

Alles ist perfekt, ein großartiges Stilgefühl, eine Leichtigkeit und Perfektion wie man sie sehr selten findet. (Ich habe sie vor 61 Jahre live erlebt - war sehr eindrucksvoll!!!)

@@megadim713 Danke für Ihre Antwort. Es war im Jahr 1960 bei den Salzburger Festspielen. Sie sang in der Mozartoper "la finta semplice ", das war wunderbar. Ich war damals im Mozarteum-Orchester.Alle waren von ihr begeistert. Später waren dann noch die großartigen Mozartarien auf dem Programm der Schallplatten-Produktion im Schloss Klessheim unter Giuseppe Patane. Das war ein gossartges Erlebnis. Schöne Erinnerungen, heute bin ich 91.

Transcendent! Frau Hallstein exudes perfection. Sorry for being petty, but could you change the wording of your short bio? Instead of "Ingeborg Hallstein (b. 1936) was [...]", say she IS the daughter of a renowned soprano (as she is, fortunately, still alive). I wonder where she is nowadays. She disappeared from the limelight a long time ago. How I wish she was present on social media.

Hey there! She is indeed alive and well, still lives in Munich. My guess is that she enjoys retirement, but apart from that still does teach some classes from time to time. I was lucky enough to recieve autographs from her only a week ago. She has such a lovely handwriting! And yes, I would also love to see her joining Instagram or any other platform :)
