Infrahyoid Neck

In this video, I discuss the Infrahyoid Neck from the perspective of a neuroradiologist. This talk focuses on the medical imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine) work-up of many common and uncommon pathologies found in the various deep spaces of the infrahyoid neck (excluding the larynx and perivertebral space, which will be subjects of future lectures). Included in this talk are space-based differential diagnoses for the visceral, carotid, retropharyngeal/danger, and posterior cervical spaces that focus on important imaging findings and clinical scenarios that may help narrow the differential diagnosis. I think that this tutorial will be beneficial to radiology learners, including non-radiologists. Enjoy!

Very informative talk. Thanks. I have a question, what are the features differentiating paraganglioma from schwannoma in carotid space?

The current belief is that tracheal diverticula are predominantly located on the right because the oesophagus acts as structural support of the paratracheal tissue on the left.
