I’m on a roll and offer you another video! I ended up spending a few hours after Sunday Service at Ananda Europe creating this video of our class’s early morning trip to the Spello Flower Festival -“INFIORATE DI SPELLO”. We got there before 6am while the teams were still finishing their masterpieces. They’d prepared for months and were up working all night under tents, including teams of children under 14. We left at 9:30 when hoards of tour buses had already arrived and many more on their way. Just like with Tibetan sand mandalas, these temporary works of art would later be destroyed by a religious procession through town celebrating the Sunday after Corpus Domini, which falls on a Thursday. Corpus Domini or Corpus Christi is a festival in honor of the Eucharist, the body of Christ symbolized with bread. Wow!
