This video actually reveals how one can handle the opening of different sprinkler systems without having to go through the presentation of each of the types. There is the power of basics and theory.

This is the best video so far I watched. This is complete. Except you have to go and do run all your sprinkles Zones and make sure there is no broken one with leak. Thank you.

Thank you. I watched your video and I started my sprinkler system yesterday without any problems. Now I no longer have to be hijacked by the sprinkler companies that would always find something that needed to fix, and it would always be $150 and up. Thank you again.

Thank you for such a thorough breakdown. My sprinkler guy went MIA, couldn't get in touch with so when it was time to open up in the spring, I just thought it's simple enough, lemme just turn on the main water valve to the sprinklers. Of course, water just started shooting out of the sprinklers. I just turned off the water valve and didn't touch it for the whole summer. Now I know that it was those knobs in the valve box that were probably left to the open position. I thank you very much. Next spring I'll be ready.

One thing I've learned is that irrigation systems vary from home to home, many look different, but the overall idea is the same, mine looks different, but this video was very helpful, thanks

Just watching how quickly you opened the flow to the system was the solution! My backflow valve finally sealed with a “thunk” and the frustration was over! Thank you so much.

Totally agree with all the other positive reviews - very helpful, step-by-step instructions. The others I've watched were more high-level summaries and so did not inspire confidence. I now feel I not only know what to do but why. Thanks!

I have a question-last Spring I started up my irrigation system by following your video-it's very helpful! But I paid a company to winterize. Now I can not for the life of me, move the valves from the 45 degree angle! Could they have somehow been locked that way for the winter? Thanks!

Hello, as I was following your video I opened the in ground sprinkler box, located the end of the pipes and I don’t have the brass t shaped nobs. There’s a yellow cap that is perpendicular to the ground. It appears to be unscrewed, but it didn’t want to budge easily. Any idea if I should just apply more force to screw it on.

Hunter Sprinkler System Acting up Changed all valve diaphragms (new from HomeDepot) and solenoids (new from HomeDepot and all in closed position) Tried switching wires from back and front lawn zones at controller and results as follows: Front lawn zone works perfect, no leak at pressure vacuum breaker and starts quick Back lawn zone starts late and pressure vacuum breaker leaks during spray (even after changing wires at controller) After getting information as amateur, there is leak in back yard and i have changed two heads which originally did not come out and spray was minimal. Despite that back lawn still starts late and vacuum breaker still leaks during duration of spray. Maximum duration i manually set for 20 minutes for back lawn, still the same (starts late and vacuum breaker still leaks). You being professional have knowledge and would you please help me in fixing back lawn zone.
