​@@Lauwit ik this is late but yes the reward after killing a boss which requires waveplate disappears after 1-2 minutes I think and the boss respawns so it can be farmed. My recommendation is using 2 temporary beacons at 2 bosses you want to grind and switch between it after killing each so that it's much more time efficient

For those wondering the first 15 things u kill every week have an additional drop rate. Its not a bug. Make sure the first 15 echoes u kill today are a boss u want to farm. Then farm other things

just to be clear guys.. he has manipulated his RNG guys.

tl;dr some bosses have scripted drops of echoes AFTER enhanced drop count has been exhausted. mechanic is: some bosses are on a 2 cycle phase of - cycle 1: 20% chance to drop; then cycle 2 - guaranteed drop. The guarantee occurs regardless of if you hit the 20% or not. The drop is per-boss and not a global chance variable. If a boss fails to drop twice in a row, it does not follow the rule. This is different per account and changes (unknown reason atm, could be daily/weekly reset. Shinya has crownless that stops working after weekly reset)

Yeah I noticed this too. Every boss I got would drop an echo every other time so I thought maybe it was 50-50. But I’ve also noticed crownless doesn’t work for me.

but it's not for every boss. I was in the stream and it only happens for some of them but differs based on account. I had monkey not working but other chatters had it working, I had rider working but other chatters didn't

For me it works on every boss. every second kill is a drop

Ive done over 100 Mephis fights and every other kill was an echo, so this checks out.

For dreamless could you possibly leave domain and skip 1st cycle then go back in to get the guaranteed drop

My 100% isn't from a boss. It's on the 3-cost Flautist. Every single kill since 2 days ago it gives me an echo.

I did find out that alternate kills drop the echos but i didn't exactly know how it worked

oh yeah i'm lvl 19 currently I was hunting for Thunder Tacet Core for Calcharo and I got the boss echo drop 4 times back to back thought it was only my luck

Ive just simply noticed you get boss echoes every other boss kill

*FOR THOSE THAT DOUBT THIS "BUG":* 2 days ago, I posted about hitting the Thundering Mephis echo 18 times in a row, and missing the Impermanence Heron 18 times in a row (cycling the two bosses on respawn). I was Databank level 16, and had already used all of my enhanced drops well before I started grinding the bosses. Running the math, I realized that what happened could not have been pure luck. Regardless of what % chance the base echo drop rate is, hitting something 18 times in a row is statistically impossible if it isn't basically 100%. Not to mention the reverse, where I *missed* the drop 18 times in a row as well. It simply could not be the displayed odds. This video is just showing off that glitch/mechanic. Honestly hope it stays in as a mechanic since it's genuinely pretty fun, but would also hope that it gets refined and explained to the player properly.

Side note, my post with my "18 times in a row" can't be found anymore, but it used to be in the WuWa discord #-fan-gallery forum, tagged with "Echoes" and "EN". Still have the funny screenshots comparing the echo count disparity though lol.

There may be potential for it to function based on the data bank level. Through my testing the "guarantee" hasn't been entirely 100% but more closely like the advanced drop rate function that would normally be tied to weekly resets. Based on several cycle testing on all bosses I believe all bosses are able to be cycled but it functions less on a one time is guaranteed while the other is normal 20%, but rather when you get an echo, the next is 20%, when you don't the next is 90% (or whatever your advanced drop rate is currently at), I have had several bosses break the cycle and then after around 2 losses I would re-enter the cycle. I have data bank 18 btw meaning I was losing to a 10% chance, not sure how it is at lower levels, was some inconsistencies with chatters reports in the stream so hard to be conclusive.

I haven't dropped a single 90% on Dreamless, Inferno Rider, or Turtle after 25+ cycles

I usually work but I was there when everyone was working on it I'm not at the level to reach it yet but I would appreciate if you did this like how you do your other videos. Understandably it will be varied but you were pretty excitable here and I follow along better when you speak calmly and show it bit by bit if that's okay please and thank you

Ive been experimenting these too and found out something really crucial and it seems your half right and wrong. The 20% first and guranteed next seem true but this pattern seems to SYNC to overlord/calamity class bosses meaning that you could always gurantee an echo drop if you didnt hit the 20% of the previous (same class) boss. Been trying on all open world bosses and it seems that it works on every one of them. And you hit the 20% then the next one will still be a 20% and not a gurantee (This is why crownless isnt dropping for you since you got an echo from the inferno rider and the bird). System pretty much : Cycle 1 (20% rate) > (if no drop) > Cycle 2 (100% rate) ---> Repeat from cycle 1 (If you hit the 20%) -----> (repeat from cycle 1) (edited) Turns out that Overlord and Calamity class might be seperated into different string patterns into a string of overlord and calamity. hope this helps (pin me if this works)

@@Arahan96 this only shows the drop rate for echoes and not rarity. make sure that your data bank is level 17 before farming since getting a 5 star become a 50/50

@@Askorzzz Yeah true. So what i've found accidentally was this : You killed 1 of the 2 memphis. The first one dropped nothing, the 2nd one dropped gold. I continued this process and only got gold.

@@Arahan96 yep you can swap bosses though just make sure they are the same boss class (overlord -> overlord) since calamity class has their own string but same cycle.

Bruh I’ve knew about this before day 3 spamming these bosses at first it was dreamless and I kept seeing that it was after every 2x I fought her it’s 50/50 for purple or orange and then boom you can do shinya didn’t manipulate the Rng system to keep getting 5* I’m pretty sure it’s a 2-1 ratio or u can win the 50//50 for I’ve done this on my account I’m not sure but from what I’ve done which is pretty similar or just jumping the same boss to see what the drop rates but I feel like it has something to do with the enhanced drop rates so if u farm a boss u have more chance to get the echo which is why every 2 guarantees purple or orange echo guys just yapping look like and most of the time I’m getting a purple drop on the first run then a 5* is 99% iME a orange echo

I don’t know if this for sure, but over a bunch of testing I did after seeing this video, I somehow manage to receive echos from 9/11 inferno riders. What i think is happening, is that there is a hidden mechanic calculating how often you use ur characters, and then applying that to echo drops. For instance, on inferno rider, I hit the 20% 5 times, and when I tested the thundering Mephis, I only hit the 20% 3 times out of the 11 times I farmed it. I think the difference may be that I have all current fusion characters in the game, and regularly use both mortefi and the encore in my day to day team. Unlike the fusion characters, I only have use calcharo for electro characters. I believe this may be a hidden mechanic the game devs unintentionally put probably trying to make some sort of QoL feature that simply had side effects

@@macaroni_and_salsa I'm more inclined to the theory that the supposed weekly enhanced drop rate is being applied to some bosses. I remember Crownless was if not the first Echo I got from fighting waveplate field bosses (I got to fight Memphis Tempest first but I didn't get the echo the first time). I ended up using Crownless many times in combos before Switching Rover to Aix once I got that echo. So either number of times echo has been used or if you got the echo first during gameplay not really sure kekw.

You get free 12 or 15 enhanced drop rates for every week, and they're like 90% pretty sure, then it goes to the normal 20% percent

tldr, it just sounds like bosses work on a echo pity system honestly. Dont hit that 20% on the boss, then next time you will get it or have a increase chance possibly at the very least.

There's an on/off cycle. first cycle is the 20% drop rate for an echo, the second cycle is a guaranteed drop. This isn't for every boss, and seems to differ based on account. I wasn't getting the monkey drop cycle but a lot of others were. I was getting the rider cycle but other chatters weren't. during stream he was doing crownless in cycle before the weekly reset, then it fails in the video, which was after the weekly reset. It's unclear what the dependencies are, but there's a theory floating around that it's based on either UID or region
