Not even the best American filmmaker of all time, Uncle Marty, could do these justice. Internal Affairs tells a more tense and thrilling story in like, 30 less minutes than Scorsese's The Departed. And it doesn't have all that stilted try-hard banter between Wahlberg and Baldwin.

I must say, the departed and infernal affairs excel differently in their own ways but Scorsese really owes a lot to the original, just from the replicated shots

they are both good in different ways. IA is more visual and fast-paced. The Departed is more mental and the dialogues are more detailed.

it is not the same movie genre and meant for a different audience.. Martin Scorsese just take the general plot but directed in its own usual American gangster style that he is famous for. he did the right thing or else it will just another Hollywood replication with different actors and setting.

It's weird bc I loved Goodfellas, one of Scorcesee's best and gangster films in general, but I just can't accept TD. I guess I'm just haunted by IA's ghost, knowing the film's true past, never to be allowed into the light, forever languishing in purgatory.

I think 4K is coming in 2023. They just want to push HD as hard as they can for now. People who fall for this will likely pay again for 4K. Don't fall for it!

Good 2 know since streaming has oversaturated these license films and even if i had the best sound setup the sounds still sucks 4 every services i had (Netflix Disney+ Prime iQiyi Viu TVBanywhere)

The first part is exactly identical to The Departed but I don t understand anything in the the others. Just confusing and the acting and action are very different from what we are used to in western cinema. Clear preference for Scorsese.

IMO the color is too off and the contrast is too high. But I still gonna get one.

Spoiler alert: We landed on the moon 1969.

Why not put English audio dubs on it, its such a waste not to be enjoyed in english, it's such a good series, subtitles are good but you miss a lot of the video detail when you read. Subtle actions & reactions of the characters in the story are missed.
