This discussion will focus on decision making involving liquids that are critical for infants and children to obtain adequate nutrition and hydration. Descriptions of variations of liquid consistencies will include common terms as well as IDDSI framework. The international committee includes individuals form varied professions as well as multiple countries. Understanding these differences and how to measure them are basic to decision making for patients and their caregivers.
