Inertia Shuffleboard..... Homemade Science with Bruce Yeany
Here is a table top shuffleboard game that we've set up when demonstrating Newton's laws of motion, students found it to be a lot of fun. There are several variations that be be made, The game can be set up simpler without the rubber band shooter block, just pushing the blocks by hand but everyone seemed to prefer this method.

Wish all my teachers in high school were like you
I really have fun watching your videos
You’re such an awesome teacher Bruce! Greatings from Sweden.
Brilliant, and fun too 😊👍
300k subscribers! A million is just around the corner Mr. Yeany
The best part of this is watching kids actually play and enjoying this. 😁 Though Some might have reacted with: "Dude, so lame...no Bluetooth, no Emojis" 🙄

Life without batteries can be difficult, but the picture and sound quality are unmatched.
This is the type of game one can benefit from by playing it, Thanks Mr. Bruce

Amazing 💯
So good.
worlds coolest science teacher!
Looks like I am going yard sale and/or garage sale hunting this weekend looking for a used ping pong table to set this up for the grandkids. Great video.
very creative
Nice idea, especially that you show Newton's laws with it as well as momentum. I added a note, maybe I'll build it one day.
Great idea! I need longer tables :)
👍
How do you think there would do 3d printed? They would be lighter than the wood but I could do color options and could print it with catcher plate attached and maybe the ring for the rubber band
You can spread saw dust on the table and with a small broom sweep in front of the block as it shoots down the table 😉
nice idea. lesson plan by chance?
That looks more fun than most indoor games I can recall. I wonder if it will be in the Olympics one day lol! If dancing horses can be an olympic sport or polishing ice with a sweeping brush, throwing a stick, formation dancing in water, chucking arrows in a board, well, I see no reason why flirting wooden blocks shouldn't be in there as well.
Bruce! I so love your videos! Did you un-retire? I remember (I think?) a video about a year ago saying that you had retired. Did you change your mind?

@@YeanyScience Re-retired. The greats never truly get to retire, just take some short breaks.
Next up how to make a big shuffleboard table out of paper towel tubes, posterboard, and masking tape.
Hi Mr. Yeany, I wonder where can I get those rubber bands? what are they called exactly? Thank you!
