Yeah his content was already decent, but since the switch to Indycar he's really been on point and so much more interactive with the fans. Indycar needs more personalities from the drivers, doing more to engage the fans. That has been lacking. I can see Romain becoming a real face of Indycar quickly if he keeps it up. Him and Joseph Newgarden.

Think of a DW12 Indycar as a more modern version of an late 80s/early 90s F1 Car. The power figures are right about the same but the engine is more focused on durability and reliability than outright performance. A DW12 with the UAK18 aero kit probably has more downforce in road courses than say a McLaren or Williams of the era, especially because its very reliant on ground effects. They're both carbon fiber bodies and carbon ceramic brakes. The Indycar is geared way longer than than the F1 Car even on road courses because Indycars use rolling starts. Indycars also ride higher than F1 cars of the period did. My guess is a 90s F1 car, even one without the fanciest doo dads like Williams, is probably faster around a road course than the DW12 due to shorter gearing, power steering and the quicker response of the naturally aspirated V10s of the period. Then again the F1 car isn't surviving a trip on an oval or many of the Indy street circuits. They both have appeal and are fun to watch.

The world thinks that the USA is only about going left in ovals with overweight V8 "stock cars" (they're not stock cars anymore) and that's not the case. Nascar is actually adapting and incorporating several road courses throughout the year because people are tired of watching cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals. F1, WRC, and especially Indycar are big in American Motorsports and that's why F1 is doing two American GP's in 2022 (COTA and Miami). Open-wheel racing has gained a lot of traction and there's some competitive, solid racing nowadays. Americans just like rigid racing. They like drivers to be fighting the car instead of just guiding it along for a stroll. That's why Indycar is so tough to drive. It's just what Americans like watching in Motorsports. Also Americans like 3+ hour races. When I first started watching F1, I was like "wait, that's it" because the GP was so short. All of that practice and qualifying for 1.5 hours was crazy to me lol. Two different flavors of Motorsports but both have their advantages for sure. Regardless, I'm glad people from around the world are seeing the true identity of American Motorsports. You love to see it.

These videos are great and I must say its a huge surprise the amount of love he is getting. Most people in F1 were really not very nice when they talked about him. If he drives well he will become a fan favorite here in America. I know he got a bad rap but he is one of the fastest drivers in the world when he is on it. I really hope he does well this year and can get a ride with one of the bigger teams so he has the chance to win each and every week. I know half the field could win any race but the smaller teams dont have the damper and shock programs like the large teams do and it makes a big big deference

It didn't look like Guenther treated him very well. It looked like he had been beaten down so hard that he had very little confidence left. Sometimes he seemed depressed. It's so good to see how happy he is now, and that he's already had some success. He seems to be in a place where he truly feels welcome. Amount of steering input has nothing to do with power steering. Indycar has power steering as well, it’s more due to differences in tyres, aerodynamics and suspension (generally lower amounts of grip) that drivers can’t just commit to one trajectory but rather have to correct their steering inputs in the middle of a corner.
