Watch on Bein Sport F1. They have Brundle and Crofty.

The blinking red and green graphics on the leaderboard are distracting.

Maybe insted of that annoying Lee Jiffy guy at the end: show the top 20 finish positions.

Good stuff, but remember and miss the days of Rahal, Fittipaldi, Andretti (Jr.,and Senior) Al Unser Jr., Sullivan, even Paul Tracy at his finest.. of course I’m talking about the mid 90’s battles at mid Ohio. Robby Gordon, Scott Pruett, Scott Goodyear, then Alex Zanardi, Jimmy Vasser, etc, along with the chassis, tires and engine manufacturers. Let’s not forget Nigel Mansell in ‘93 and ‘94. The PPG CART World Series days. Somehow that excitement is nowadays not the same, but it probably relevant to fans age and enthusiasm. I’m now 59 and was (well, really, still am) a huge fan of open wheel racing. Indy car and Formula One. Was a big Al Unser Jr fan and even met Bobby Unser in ‘94 when lil Al first joined team Penske. Car #31. Won the Indy 500 with the 1000+hp Mercedes pushrod engine. Bobby was one of the nicest people I’ve met. I had him sign not only my’92 Molson Indy Snap On Tools commemorative jacket, but my new fresh built Tamiya Nigel Mansell Team Newman Haas #5 Indycar that was available at the time. I told him I put a hotter motor in it and could run an actual 60 or so mph that was verified by a friend driving beside it, on a smooth back road. He even looked it over and was giving me advice about moving the wings for more downforce, even though they were fixed. I wound up selling the car to a collector in California unfortunately because I was in a financial bind. But those days I truly cherish.

Alex Palou getting on his rhythm, dude's on his way to a 3rd title - He's now almost a full race ahead of Power. In Indycar, starting gets you 5pts and winning gets you 50pts and he's 41pts ahead. Palou LEADS (2 wins) Power -48 (1 win) O'Ward -70 (2 wins) Dixon -71 (2 wins) Herta -80 Kirkwood -95 Rest are at least 100pts behind

Did anyone else realize that indycar has a habit of starting the race before all the cars are packed up? It seems like almost every time the leaders hit the gas to start, the drivers in the back are going full throttle around the final corner to catch up.

I seem to recall Mid OH races recently producing a lot of passes. Did the repave impact that, was it the hyrbrid engine change? I've only seen this 9 min highlight reel so maybe there was more, but it seemed tame by recent Mid OH standards.

Broadcast started at 1:30 eastern time, green flag dropped close to 2pm so someone lied or you read the wrong thing about the start time.

Indy is usually very nice, but this race was terribly boring. Nothing happened really.

@@WillerASCruz It was a good race, just one that you had to pay close attention to regarding strategy. It did look spread out beyond the front two, but it was still a fun race and you can see how hard the drivers are working.

Man i dont know these tracks always seem so hard to pass at, are there no better tracks in the US they could use? Like proper wide race tracks.

This was the first time I have gone to an Indycar race at Mid Ohio in several years.....since when does an Indycar sound like a stock Civic going through the gearbox. I was in the keyhole and literally could have taken a nap. The cars were no louder on a race lap than they were on the pace lap and the race was a gigantic parade. I've seen better racing in a parking lot. The tickets were free and I still paid too much.

Doesn’t Dixon have a backup car?? He had problems before the race even started. So he should be allowed to go to a backup car for the race. He’d just have to start last

blue flag is only to let drivers know faster cars are coming. they are only obligated to move over if they are already a full lap down.
