Totally relate to the alcohol bro, and that's how I personally take the "everything we thought would take the sadness, really only made it deeper" line. We get attracted to these substances thinking we can kill the shit inside of us but it just numbs us more. Once you get off that shit you actually get a chance to start feeling those things properly and dispersing them rather than pushing them down.

i love this song by NF so much. i can also relate to what you have said Cliff, i remember when i was younger my biggest concerns where lego's and when i can meet my friends to play, now sometimes i worry going to bed and waking up. its really important to try and appreciate all the time we have and things we do so we try and avoid becoming numb. great reaction cliff o7

For me it's my siblings. I miss the adventures, the fights, the music, the confessions, the unbreakable loyalty of childhood. I'm 30 and all my siblings have passed. I agree, It's very tough for me to appreciate today when stuck on memory lane wondering if the future is worth it.

Just want to say that I never see any of the things you self-conciously point out - the white on your hat, dirt on your cheek, hair on your nose, spill on your shirt..ect..ect.
