I agree with Carrie... you made my night, too. Ronnie wrote the lyrics to this song looking at himself in the mirror while he was in prison and just became sober from his drug addiction (heroin as far as I know). This song is the Reimagined version of The Drug In Me Is You, which was on Falling in Reverses first Album 2011. The Cover girl on this album was kind of the impersonated emo girl. Therefore she's featured in the Reimagined video (the girl with the make-up who isn't dancing). On the same album was a song "I'm Not A Vampire". Therefore everyone thought, that Ronnie's vampire teeth were a little homage to this. But then he released I'm not a vampire revamped earlier this year. So it was more like an Easter egg. You might want to check out those two songs as well. The original has a fun video which you don't exactly have to be sober for, even if it's about drug abuse... As with most art there is always room for interpretation. Someone (honestly don't remember who. Have been binge watching falling in reverse so it's all just melted together at this point) said that the girl with the pretty crown and the 'painted makeup' is meant to be a painted dressed up motif of the concept of depression. Everyone paints their depression in different ways but it's all still depression. The figures dancing around her then seem to embody the way that others and sometimes oneself *dance* around the topic bringing attention to it but never touching or resolving the issues. Being 'high on misery' and asking 'can't you see' also plays into this concept. All I know is this song makes me feel a certain ouch in my own brain. If you're looking for more meaning... like I said, it's art. Open to interpretation Thanks for reading
