Indigo watercolour is a very useful colour for shadows and darkening many of the colours in your paint box. I will show you how to mix indigo so that your darkened colours stay clean and don't take on a dull look, as they may if using grey or black. Indigo is also a super colour for painting watercolour pictures in monochrome. Indigo is not always the first blue colour that people think about putting in their palette, it has many uses for both the beginner and the more experienced artist in watercolour.
