Hey Tristam!

I remember being 11 when this song got released, playing Minecraft and not having a care, now I have a job, live with my (hopefully) soon-to-be wife and dealing with real things, it honestly feels surreal finding such a different meaning then and now to the same lyrics. Thank you Monstercat, for a childhood filled with great music.

this is my favourite monstercat song by far, with a few exceptions: Watching - Sunmer Was Fun Far Away - Tristam, Braken Build The Cities (Empire Of Sound) - Karma Fields x Tristam Crave - Tristam Frame Of Mind - Tristam, Braken Guardians - Au5 the lyrics, man. they mean a lot to me. i love watching coz i can relate to it so well, and the name of the artist really makes me think about 2018 summer and how amazing it was, as well as the autumnal feel of the song. tristams songs just remind me of tougher times in my life and have a lot of sentiment for that reason. this song? reminds me of all my attempted and failed relationships, and how naive i discover i really am at every turn.

It's 6 months later and I still think this is the best Monstercat release to date. The piano solo at the end, every time I hear it, never gets old. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. The last 3 notes of the song, literally bring a tear to my eye. Nobody can beat Rezonate when it comes to something chill.

The reason people are getting annoyed by the comment section being overwhelmed by the " Bayani brought me here" is because people enjoy listening to music and see others speaking about how good the artist is, also think about the artist they would enjoy being recognized by his music yes indeed it was thoughtful for Bayani to bring his fans here but don't be a burden with it. Ex: Cryaotic he uses Monstercat, Tasty network, and artists from soundcloud. He hated it when he saw the spam put on their channels, he hated that they were not being recognized for their true talent they only liked it because their "idol" did. Also guys stop being rude about it some people just don't understand and need it explained.

Woowow 500 I agree. There's absolutely no problem with spam or excessive adverts, you can move past it so easily. It's just a bit of junk you wade through. Sure some comments of value may be in between the extreme numbers of absolute garbage nobody of independent thought would write but overall it doesn't make it completely impossible to enjoy things to see litter everywhere. Same goes for outside, the pavement is still there below the empty cans and broken glass. Why do we even have city dumps?

Amadran Try to keep in mind that the entire metaphor for this song (a metaphor is basically using one thing to compare it to another) is that life is a blank canvas (basically empty white paper) and we can paint on it whatever we want. Having established this, the line is essentially saying that everyone in their youth is confused and has dreams. These dreams flow into our "river of color" (our paint that we use to paint on our canvas) and we try to project them onto the canvas by painting them. We try to make sense of these emotions, goals, dreams, and hopes while we paint. However, in the end most dreams die young and never go anywhere. They are "secretly appealing to a lonely prisoner" because in a way we are all a prisoner of our own limitations. It's a tantalizing (really happy) thought to think that we can do anything and paint our own canvas any way we want and be who ever we want to be. But the fact of the matter is that many of us fall short and our lives are hardly what we originally intended. I hope that makes sense, sorry for the TLDR

It is hard work to compose any music over 6minutes, but you did it , this among all the musics iv ever heard made me sad and ridiculous

And that's why I really like Rezonate music ! It's soo much different than other monstercat releases. Keep on with good work !

I'm a fan of Rezonate, but his music is pretty generic in my book. Ash is far to similar to Blackmill's style to be a coincidence and a few others of his are pretty standard electro songs that are similar to Tut Tut Child.

My favorite genre and one of my favorite artists... This is the treat I've needed.

Half a decade later, still one of my favorite songs. Amazing.

It's so annoying when people say things like "it's not nu disco, it's indie dance!!!1!" it's like saying "it's not music, it's vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion!!!1!"

Tbh I feel like people labeling creativity is kinda stupid seeing as a label or creates preconceived notions on what something is. This is kinda the main reason why some people will never listen to dubstep because they think dubstep = skrillex even though that is at the other end of the universe to what is true

I personally think it's good to have the genre tags just because then if you don't like all the music, you can just subscribe to the genre channel(s) that you like the best. But yeah I have mixed feelings about skrillex because he's the one that got me into electronic music but now whenever I wanna play a song for a friend they're just like "Oh no I don't like that wub wub stuff it's annoying."

TheDarkeningshadows Monkeystaxx I've never liked skrillex because the sound is way too bassey and annoying, the drops are very bland, and the songs sound all the same. Literally, the 'drop' for this song (If you could consider the transition to the first chorus a drop even) is heavier and more detailed then skrillex. Let's be honest here, skrillex music is very obnoxious, his music has never matured or gained any different experimental elements. That's why I don't like it, and a lot of other people too. It's just plain noisy and unappealing.

The ancients thought that the sound could be magical: they were right.

I like how there are no more "Came from Bayani" comments but now the comment section is just saturated with all the Bayani hate comments that got upvoted.

The first track on Monstercat I ever heard. And the rest was history. Here I am. Years later. A completley different person. But the audio seems to have followed. Thank you Monstercat and Rezonate. And all those other artists Ive come to love since. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. I don't know where I would be without this music backing me up

This is an amazingly beautiful song. This song brings out so many emotions and I love it. This is one of Monstercat's best releases.
