What I love about the music of John Williams? It basically tells the story of the film without a dialogue

My dad & I saw the first 3 Indiana Jones films on the big screen together. As I've gotten older, Last Crusade has become more dear to me, because of the "father-son" meaning of it. My dad passed away on 10 April 2023. I will always think of him when I hear this piece of music. Then again, he took me/us to see all of the greatest movies that John Williams scored during the mid-70s, all through the 80s!!! RIP Albert W. Siegel...............and thank you so much for helping to make me the movie fan that I am, and always will be!!!

@@inspiredserie Yesterday, May 24, 2024, was the 35th Anniversary of the original release of "Last Crusade". It was Dad's fave of the saga, because Dad loved Sean Connery. Over the years, it's become special to me, because it's a story about fathers and sons. I was always very close to Dad. Again, RIP to the late, great Albert W. Siegel!!

Sorry for asking, but your father is listening to this for 80 years? The movie is from the 80’? That’s impossible. Or do u mean he is listening at the age of 80?

Bravo. Excellent performance and great video/audio quality. Thank you for sharing this.
Une des plus belle interprétation que j'ai pu entendre. Un orchestre génial. Un enregistrement très haut de gamme et un mixage subtil. Un bijou pour une composition fantastique, magique et surtout éternelle de John Williams : un Chef d'Oeuvre

Your orchestra somehow manages to produce a level of quality one would expect from a much larger assembly! Fantastic! Have you produced, or even considered, a Medley of Sir Elton John's music? Or, Neil Diamond? Perhaps ABBA? I just would truly appreciate MORE!!! And, for your consideration, Thank you!

What exactly did the arranger do?
@boguitar87

Nothing. This is Williams original arrangement. Maybe they meant orchestration, because this orchestra is much smaller than the "big" orchestras who usually play this.

Hi, Hector Guzman - boguitar87 is right - generally, this is based on John Williams' original score, however, this orchestra is smaller than say a regular symphony orchestra, so quite a few changes have to be made. Sometimes four oboe parts have to be condensed into just two oboe parts, sometimes a melody line originally intended for trombones will be performed by for example the trumpet or horns and so on. This is why the WDR Funkhausorchester generally commissions new arrangements of popular pieces - to make sure they sound as close to the original as possible even though it's less players onstage.
