Raiders is an absolute classic, love that movie so much!
I'm 21 years old and I love the indiana jones movies man.... Everyone should watch all of them and so should you kyle 😁one more amazing Video 🎉
I first saw raiders when I was in kindergarten and I loved it. I immediately went outside and started running around pretending to be Indy. I also have a lot of early memories of playing the Temple of Doom arcade game at 7-11
“They should put more on the cardboard….see ya later goodbye” 😂
I definitely think you should at least watch the temple of doom. It is by far the most metal of all the series.
I love how the punching sounds are exaggerated in these movies lol
the hasbro 6 inch scale really do make a great universe mish mash for photography.... That super7 Snake mountain is a HELLOFA place to get Indy to explore and be the Nexus point in the universe
I'm in the exact same situation. I never watched the movies, but I just saw him tucked behind some stuff on the shelf and figured he might look good with the G.I. Joes. I'm not crazy about his elbow and knee being single jointed but I'm not that great at posing so really it doesn't ruin anything for me. The little clip for holding his whip on his belt does not like staying closed for me but I've managed to get him into a decent pose. For $15 I think I can find a place for him. Gonna watch Raiders tonight and see how I feel.
It really is interesting to see various types of people give thoughts and reactions to the same exact movie and end up with completely different opinions. For example, Raiders came out in 82 and I didn't see it until 89 when Temple of Doom came out (part 2). I was 9 years old at the time, and I proceeded to whip my way through the neighborhood for months dressed in anything I could find that made me look/feel like Indiana Jones. Fast forward to 2021 - I went as Indy for Halloween and my son (then 8yrs old) asked me who that was. I sat him down and we watched Raiders together and he LOVED it. He is now 10yrs old, has seen all of the movies, owns a whip, hat, jacket and satchel and we cosplay together all the time - at cons or just playing Indiana Jones in our backyard. My daughter is 6yrs old and has seen all of them and loves them as well. She has a crush on Indy, and even dresses as Marion when we play. She too has a hat & whip. I have also introduced the neighborhood kids, as well as several of my 20 somethings co-workers to Indy and they have all loved it/him. So it's surprising that you thought the film was just ok and that your kiddos refuse to watch any of the other films. Not saying there's anything wrong with that - just surprising. Raiders falls right into the untouchable cult classics as far as I am concerned: Back to the Future, Goonies, Karate Kid, etc. But then again, I was the 8 year old watching movies from 40 years previous, like Secret of the Incas and loving every minute of it.

Ha I’ve not seen any of those movies either lol
I've been waiting on this line. Finally got Indy and General Toht yesterday. I'm all in on these. This is a total nostalgia collection for me
2nd comment: Temple of doom is the best one. I was 4 or 5 watching a man get his heart pulled from his chest and I've been a fan ever since. When they get to the Temple of Doom figures I'll be a part of the double up club
Great review Kyle! That scene in the Market with the swordsman that Indy pulls his gun out and shoots, was changed to that because Harrison Ford was really sick with like a 104 fever and doing that was quicker and easier then the fight sequence that was planned. Agreed one of the best parts!
I was born in 83 and I love movies from the forty’s through the Sixties

Man missing out on some good 30s movies lately I’ve been watching silent era early horror
Now as a massive Harrison Ford and Indiana Jones fan, this is awesome! Especially you watching Indiana Jones! I'm sure you're going to like Temple of Doom better. Ok is just good enough!
Well I do hope you finish watching the next two Indy films, they are great. I don’t find many movies in the past 20+ years that are as entertaining as those, it’s a great franchise. I’d be surprised if you didn’t become a big fan after watching those films. Nice review Kyle.
Amazing! Congratulations on finding him.
Looks more like the character from The Last Crusade who gives Indy his hat.

Good call. Not the best Harrison Ford likeness.
I think I like the single joints more on figures like this
Hey man! Thanks for the review 🤠 MAN these 6-inch “Adventure Series” Indiana Jones action figures are a dream line come true 🌟🤠💛✊🏼 They’re a Grail line for me. They look so awesome all lined up together, so so much fun! They feel good, nice and sturdy, beautifully detailed straight from the film 🎬 Criticisms would be: -Wish the figures were able to put up their arms at an above 90 degree ‘T’ pose to have more dynamic gun shooting and punching poses. Speaking of guns? Indy’s pistol is far too small. Needs to be bigger-you’d want to use a pistol from perhaps some Neca or other 6-inch lines. That being said. I for one am elated and entirely satisfied with the Hasbro Team’s work on this line. I bought up triples of every single 2008 action figure, vehicle, playset Hasbro made. Wasn’t entirely satisfied with “Crystal Skull” at the time (over time it’s grown on me & there’s actually a ton of awesome Indy adventure, set pieces, ideas & action in there!), but we were lucky to have Indy product be so prevelant back then. I feel some people putting up videos or comments on boards are being extremely harsh & overly critical on these. They’re fucking awesome 😆✊🏼 to me & SMOKE any 3 3/4 inch toys. You can truly see the TLC 💛 the team responsible put into this line. I am 💯 loving the pinless joint tech 💪🏼🔥 I am so grateful and excited to be able to stroll into a toy section or toy store and be able to buy a solid character selection from the world of one of my favourite film franchises of all time 🎬 🔥!!! I’m ALL in and I’ll be purchasing triples (maybe more 💫😌) of any 6-“ inch character that is made. Really want Colonel Vogel from “The Last Crusade”, an army of German Troops, Cairo Indiana with Cairo Mercenaries, German Mechanic, Belloq in regular white suit and hat from the Cairo cafe confrontation, Colonel Dietrich, Temple of Doom Troop builder from Mola Ram’s henchman, Marcus Brody, Sallah in “The Last Crusade” outfit & whomever else I may have not mentioned at the moment! Praises: Everything else. Even the boxes are gorgeous. The movie artwork and seeing all the action figures in that wave is so fun to look at and marvel. The actual figures are actually wrapped in a fun paper bag that have a yellow map of the world on it, very awesome.

Oh & P.S.? YES you should go ALL IN 💛🫵🏼🤠 and get all of the “Indiana Jones” Adventure Series action figures because …well, they’re all awesome & selfishly I want this line to do well and be a kick ass success for Hasbro 😁 That’ll mean the fans get all the other characters! 🥳 Also fair assessment of the film. I always know that what one man loves, another may be indifferent or not share the identical enthusiasm. There was always something so special and exciting about these films to me. Just pure adventure, action, cool villains and charismatic actors. They just had a way of exciting and activating my imagination growing up and into adulthood. Never being able to get the original Kenner action figures, I was absolutely over the moon at the TLC ❤️ Hasbro showed this universe when “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” came out. Then…I saw that movie & was so disappointed 😆 I’ll never forget the glance/look I shared with this one dude who was about my age, he was with his little kids ..presumably trying to introduce Indy to them. The scene where Shia LeBeouf is swinging on a CGI jungle vine, with CGI monkeys was where we locked eyes and basically did these faces: 👉🏻😐☹️ hahaha That being said, years later I revisited it and there is some really awesome action scenes and sequences and ideas in there. I always thought the crystal skull and ancient alien angle was really cool. Harrison even went on record saying something to the effect that he, Lucas and Spielberg were trumped with regards to some decisions made on that film & he recognized it didn’t do that well, and that there was a much different film that was initially intended. Some behind the scenes documentaries on how these movies came to be is always a real treat to see & they’re all over to find if anyone is interested. “Indiana Jones is about the adventures of a soldier of fortune, who is caught up in a spectacular supernatural treasure hunt.” - Steven Spielberg 🌟🤠💛🌟
Not watching Indiana Jones is like never having seen Star Wars. I don't even know how it's possible to not have seen it, if you grew up in the 80s, and 90s. It was on TV like everyday back then. My mind is blown that you've never seen it. I'd have pegged you as a huge fan tbh. But, stranger things have happened. I can't get his little whip thing on his belt to attach. Other than that, this figure is a slam dunk. Everything I've ever wanted from an Idiana Jones figure, and we haven't had one in decades. If you didn't like the first movie, you'll probably hate the other ones, because most people agree Raiders of the Lost Ark is the pinnacle of the series? But you really should give them a shot. Great review.
I thinks you might like the next two movies more.. I’m like you on this figure.. this is the only one I’d get if I see it in store. Great review 🤙🏻
Great figure. I cannot wait for it. If you didn't enjoy Raiders I wouldn't bother watching the rest, although Temple is my personal favourite it was regarded the worst until Crystal Skull, or Crystal Palace as you called it teeheehee. Cheers 👍🏻
Never too late to get on board brotherman! Can't wait to get this figure🤘
That’s so funny hearing kids nowadays are like “What’s Indiana Jones” meanwhile back in 2008, i remember being a kid and seeing these movies and thinking they were so cool. I think it also just makes sense given how much other stuff has come out in media since Raiders hit theaters
It is good to see you do a review on a product for a movie that you actually watched.
This is it. Great figure and great review. Must have!
They actually did release a 12 inch indiana jones with gi joe packing I guess around 15 years ago
Don't need to watch it in order, my recommendation is to start with Temple of Doom. That one will definitely leave a lasting impression. And then my favorite one Last Crusade.
Hey Kyle I enjoyed these movies as a kid I’ve watched them all & still find them fun to this day. So for me this figure looks cool
Historically Indiana Jones figures don't last very long at retail. I do think we're going to see this figure on a lot of top ten lists this year. But as for your question, my first Indy movie was Last Crusade which I saw in theatres, that made me want to go back and watch the others. At the time I liked Raiders of the Lost Ark the best, but now I think Temple of Doom is my favourite, even if it's a strange one. I'd say if Raiders didn't light your fire and make you a big Indy fan, the others aren't going to do it either. There are supernatural elements to all of them.
Regardless of how much you liked it I’m glad you at least watched it once. Im definitely getting Indiana Jones but still deciding if I want to get the whole line or not.
mine shipped on thursday from amazon but the shipment got delayed or lost cause there are no more updates and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday and I'm getting irritated. I mean I've been waiting for 30 years for a good indy figure and amazon loses it.
I will definitely pick one up.👍
The supernatural stuff at the end lost you? Lol what did you think was gonna happen? It's the Ark of the Covenant.
I’m goin all in . The retro cards I’ll wait deals
How the pegs works in the hands?
I definitely recommend you watch the next two movies. I think the entire series is marketing history buffs. You should watch the Rocketeer also.
Just ordered Indiana Jones and Major Toht. Thinking about displaying Toht with the MCU Red Skull. He'll make a pretty cool Hydra agent.
I probably get the Indiana Jones figure if I said on clearance
Last Crusade is arguably the best. Doom is #2 and don’t even bother with Crystal Skull. You’d find more enjoyment sandblasting your eyeballs.
I can understand why you don’t feel much for Indiana Jones. I was 13 when they first came out. At the time, there was nothing out there like it.
You have to watch all of them they are all good maybe not the last one.
i hope the likeness to harrison ford looks a little better in person, other than that very cool figure can't wait! i love all the movies but if i had to choose it'd b The Last Crusade
Jaws and Star Wars might have had something to do with its success!
Just getting Indy
That Buck Owens shirt is amazing
im not sure if you will like the 2nd but the 3rd is a great father son movie
I liked Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade the best. Hope you like those better
I love Indiana Jones films, looks a good looking figure, I think you should watch the 3rd film the last crusade with Sean Connery as his dad, my personal favourite of all of them
It hurts my heart that you didn't enjoy the first Indy movie. Watch the rest though. As far as the Indiana Jones figures...Gonna pass unless I see something that really just blows me away, which this first figure has not (non-removable hat? C'mon Hasbro!)

I'm still uncertain as to whether I'll get into this line, I'd like to say I'd wait until I saw them in person, but given the packaging that won't exactly happen. I do really love some of those films, but I never had a huge desire for figures based on them If I do get into this line I think I'll stick to Indy and the villains, the ones they've revealed so far look good but I really hope we get a standard look for Belloq, he'd easily be my favorite villain of the series.
Cool figure. I think you're right. Unless someone is a big big Indiana Jones fan, it's unlikely they will get the whole set. The main bad guy isn't gonna move the needle like Indy will, or any of the others, who aren't Indy, for that matter. I think the idea of the build an artifact is really cool.
If they gonna keep throwing figs in boxes then they should just make in living color figs with that hobo Damon Wayne’s showing you how to build a hobo house out of cardboard, and how to use your boogers as cement to keep the boxes together
..mmmh I'm tempted

You can't go wrong with the first 3 Indiana Jones movies. My personal favorite is The Last Crusade. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull went off the rails so I hope this new movie gets back on track. I'll probably get Indy and maybe a few other key characters.

I can't say if they get better because I love raiders of the lost ark,Temple of Doom and the last crusade. All I can say is to me they're really good. There's a Part 4 it wasn't a good movie. One of fans criticisms is Harrison Ford was too old to reprise his role and it showed. Now he's older than he was back in 2008. I have zero interest in part 5.
If Raiders didn’t do anything for you, don’t waste your time with the others.
