Indiana Jones returns in his final(?) adventure Indiana Jones 5, aka Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Harrison Ford returns as the beloved lead character Indiana Jones, Dial of Destiny being advertised as the conclusion for the character. Could this really be the last Indiana Jones movie, at least for Harrison Ford Indiana Jones? Phoebe Waller-Bridge joins as a young adventure-seeking companion in Dial of Destiny, popping up in many a Lucasfilm released Indiana Jones clip.
Maybe Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade should have been the true ending, but with everything that came along with the Indiana Jones 4 full movie and all it meant, a new ending needed to happen. With Indiana Jones 4 in mind, what could it mean for where Indy stands at the end, and have the Indiana Jones movie clips painted a full picture?

The Last Crusade should have been the last Indy movie. Riding off into the sunset was a great ending!

@@LinkJTO so was Helena but she got to do stuff and take out the bad guys. He didnt even get to make any sort of choice or show any agency at the end, she chose his ending for him.

@@arobin6695 3 things, they didn’t know she was on the plane as well so she had the element of surprise on her side and she could of also got a weapon pretty easily, also Indi was shot and bleeding out, he had no energy to do any big action, and finally your original argument doesn’t mean anything because in the first movie during the climax Indi was tied up the entire time literally doing nothing

@@LinkJTO That's the problem, Indy should have been the one sneaking on the plane to rescue her, not the other way around. He didnt get to take out the big tough henchman enemy in a one on one fight like he always does, they could have at least let him do something at the end. In the first movie Indy didnt have a sidekick who saves the day by themself while he is useless and needing to be rescued.

@@arobin6695 he’s like 70 years old in this movie, how would he realistically taken on the big henchmen in a 1v1, the whole point of this movie is that he’s getting too old for the adventure life, this was his last adventure before he retires, and so what if the sidekick saves the day, there was only one time where Indi save the day himself in the movie and that was the Temple of Doom, every other movie the villains defeated themselves by messing with things they shouldn’t that they didn’t understand
Honestly they should have made Mutt Williams the next Indiana jones

He is alive, and the next movie will be The Adventures of Mutt Williams played By a Old Mutt Williams, Chris Pratt now

Glad that we have this one after the last one but yeah Indy Prime in last crusade is the best!
Indiana Jones ended with The Last Crusade, just like Terminator ended with Judgment Day.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was set in 1957. The armistice for the Korean Conflict was signed in 1953. There were multiple wars going on in 1958 to 1969 including an undeclared war in Vietnam, interventions in the Americas and Africa, low-grade civil wars in Europe, a civil war or two in the Philippines--and Mutt could have ran away from home and joined the French Foreign Legion which was fighting a dirty war in Algeria.

hmmm 🤔 Is it possible that Indy uses and corrected the Dial to saved his son from certain death?
If archimedes wanted people to use the dial and come back to his point in time then why did he split it in two and hide it?

It should have ended as a trilogy, but the crystal numbskull broke the charm. So they had no choice but to turn the dial and change the franchise's destiny.

you don't lie to an audience to hide a story.... you should be ashamed of yourself. the subject matter is complex enough...
The Indiana Jones movie isn’t bad. People are just bashing it to try and send a message to Kathleen Kennedy and get her fired. But it’s a movie everybody loves but they won’t admit it because doing so would keep Kathleen Kennedy on board. People would rather lie, and tank a movie to try and get someone fired than be honest with themselves and say they genuinely loved the movie.

For me 2,1,5,3,4. Although Raiders is far superior to all of them, TOD will always be my favorite. LC was way to comedic for my taste, and made Indy feel less superior because of the father/ son aspect. They do this to him in DOD, but it makes more sense here, because he is an old man, and it is a much more serious film which is what I’ve been waiting for in an Indy movie since the first two films.
