Reading comments on Indian Street food videos, I have come to a conclusion that there are two types of people who watch Indian street food videos- 1. People who are just there to comment all about hygiene. No matter how much the cook/chef cover himself up and follow hygiene standards, if he is Indian, they will find some or other fault and start blabbering about hygiene. 2. People who truly enjoy watching street food videos.

What hygiene standards??? you can have your opinion but don't start pretending this food or the people who prepare it know the first thing on how to handle food properly. Check the food poisoning statistics on India. Every year dozens of children DIE because of badly prepared food. Maybe for you that is normal but coming from a western country it is not. I have been living in SE Asia for over a decade now. I've been to India, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, etc. It's true that if you don't like it, go somewhere else. Go to proper restaurants or cook yourself, there are options enough. But don't start about about "chef follow hygiene standards" because there is no hygiene when you touch money and food with the same hands all day long..

I'm a westerner that has lived in delhi for around 2 years and the food is just amazing. Sure they don't all look as clean as you would find in the west but on average it's quite safe to eat. I do get sick every so often from the food but in my opinion it's worth it. If you ever get to india, you should stop worrying about the food, instead worry more about the water that doesn't come straight from the bottle or a purifier.

Been watching these India street foods videos and I get soooooo hungry all the time just thinking about it. Here in Trinidad & Tobago we have Indian culture but not all the real authentic Indian food shown on these videos. Absolutely LOVE Indian food.....an Indian food tour is definitely on my list of things to do. YUMMMM!!!!!!!

Those who are criticising the cleanliness, remember this is street food, served in the streets. Served by poor people but so delicious it will make you prefer that to your swanky Starbucks or Wendys. I believe it is clean enough and people do not fall sick, making street food in India very popular.

Amazing video man. Thanks for visiting our city of joy, i.e., Kolkata. But there are tons of other places, which perhaps cannot be covered in one video. From north, to the south of Kolkata, there are tons of special places with unique tastes!!!!!

For all the people commenting "Indian food is so unhygienic". Firstly, it is street food. Secondly, no one is inviting you. Thirdly, you'll get street food here for about 15 cents. What more do you except? And lastly, we have 5 star hotels here. You can go to Taj hotel and order street food. You will get YOUR KIND OF HYGIENIC FOOD, there. You people should try saving some money instead of being a misor, and then visit the 5 star hotels and order street food from there. No one eats street food daily. But I have grown up in India, and I eat street food once a week. I am perfectly healthy and fine. So, before calling indian food dirty, make sure you can afford the 5 and 7 stars. :)

There's even studied conducted on Indian street food, and they literally found traces of feces in most of the places they tested. Many indians do not wash their hands, and that's disgusting. You are arguing that it's cheaper and therefore it's automatically "good," although the way the food is prepared is unsanitary

The Middle Man First: if your source of information is wikipedia, keep going, Second: Any bacteria wouldn't survive heat above 70 degree C. (There are some, unless you are eating an Ebola monkey) Third: No one is inviting you to eat this food, keep your thoughts to your self. Fourth:If you are going to die of food poisoning, that can be from a sandwich from a subway, McD, and the list goes on. Fifth: People eating dicks and pussies all the time, so this food is way more hygenic than that atleast it is cooked.... o wait did i mention A$$?? Nice try though??

My experience with Indian food was when I was stationed in England. So many Indian restaurants and loved the spice! That all looked so good that you ate!!!!!!
