Eli has some Colby way back (all bloodlines do) but he is Eli/Bolio cross, and pied. He was one of only 2 pied dogs in a litter of 10 He’s the best dog I’ve ever owned. Highly intelligent, stable, excellent hunter, and has a love for people like I’ve never seen in any other breed. He does everything I ask of him. The best breed ever

I've always loved pied pitbulls and colby produced some of the best pieds but sadly you don't often see them today.

The Colby bloodline dogs are the best, but when it comes to Pitbulls these days everyone wants "Bullys". when i moved out at 18 the first thing i did was buy a Pitbull lol. i cant say for certain, but i think he was a colby pit. he wasn't big at least by todays standards, but he was game as hell!!

Yes back in the day a lot of boxers had or part owned good game pitbulls ,dempsey was another who loved his pits

Also bull and terrier and English bull terrier probably some old southern white pincher looks very bulldogy and being very large I'd bet a lot of old southern white was put in the apbt

Wrong. The baiting Bulldog of the Victorian Era was brought to England from Spain. The Alano Español (of that time; the new ones are not exactly the same). They had leg length and muzzles. This is what the Pit Bull is - a Bulldog. The Bulldog-Terrier cross refers to the English Bull Terrier - not the AmStaff - also a Bulldog but bred for goofy conformation as opposed to athletic ability and drive. Look at the Irish Staffy’s: they are still game strains used for illicit purposes. They look like Pit Bulls. Also, Earl Tudor brought in dogs from England up until the 1960’s, or so it is said, and they were not in anyway to be confused with SBTs. They were all black, black lips, deeply game and possessed extremely high drive. They were not small dogs like an SBT, either. The Irish had large red, red nosed dogs, too. Look up “Philo Kuon Bulldog” and you can learn what happened. We have Bulldogs; Pit Bulldogs - American Pit Bulldogs. We still call them Bulldogs in Louisiana; and always have. Take care.
