The salt mines are under the control of PMDC Pakistan Mineral Development Corporations. This is the best salt which is exported to India on very cheap rates since it has some religious significance for Hindus. India true to its nature sells it to other countries calling it Himalayan Salt. This is similar to packing Pakistani Basmati Rice in Dubai calling it Indian Basmati.

Khewra Salt Mines have natural air circulation and ventilation system inside. When in hot summer out side temp is 44, inside is 18.

m from khewra ( jhelum ) this is the 2nd largest mine in the world .In the quality wise it is at No 1 temperature inside the mine is round about 18 specially in summer this is jannat Every day tourists from many abroad countries come to here and also tours from different local university in pak visit this because its also informative for students The main thing is shiny appearance in side the mine is totally awesome which attract the tourists A mosque and minar e pakistan also located in it which are made up of salt stones 300 km inside

Out side of mine temperature is 40C and in side is 18 C

There are vents all over the mines which supplies the oxygen and interestingly temperature is very low inside comparing to the outside, i go there in summer and i was feeling cold

Those lighting structures are made with bricks made up of salt fitted with bulbs inside, just for the decoration

The whole area of ​​salt is 300 kms. What have you seen salt mine It starts from Jhelum and goes to Mianwali, it is 300 km

Temparature in mines is totally opposite to outdoor tamperature. Mines are hot in winter and cool in summer. I also belong this salt range area . my village is Warcha . Warcha salt mine is the Pakistans's second biggest salt mine . ❤❤

The temperature in the salt mine is about 18-20 degree and outside is 46, They also told in the video, you guys have not noticed it. And yes there is no salt mine in India but India, India and many other countries are using Pakistani Salt. And the people who were sleeping were not workers, but they were also tourists who stay there at a side to enjoy there with there food as a picnic.

Salt mines are operated by ICI company who has a Lease from govt. of Pakistan. 4. The salt from this mines is exported to all over the world... and in india it is known as Himalayan Salt or Pink Salt which is considered as the top most quality. 5. It is not continuously 300km from inside but it is in sections. 6. Salt range consists of whole mountains which are made up with salts of different kinds. 7. Khewara is the Name of the Place . 8. Its a good picnic place and its nearly accessible from Lahore-Islamabad Motorway 9. You can buy alot of beautiful artistic savineours from outside shops... specially lamps 10. When you come here then dont miss the Katas-Raj Temples which are nearby this place. Thanks
