I live in the inland empire of California. And I own a 2021 DH. CHIEFTAIN. I added a heated / ventilated seat. And drips. Stock drivetrain. Diving lights. All OEM. Indian makes a solid bike. You've made a great video. Thank you !

Good review 7, I did the same thing after I test-drove it too. I was set on getting a Chieftain but ended up with the Challenger Dark Horse.

Good choice! I’m really happy with this bike. I’ve read about some idling issues but I’ve never had any issues. I’m over 15k now and no problems

Bagger of the decade. Wow. I have had 4 Harleys and 2 Indians. What do the Indians not have in common with the Harleys? They both left me stranded on the road. I am sure there are some people who have had a lot of success with them, but both were about as reliable as an 80s Chrysler for me (2018 RoadMaster, 2021 Challenger Limited).

In Australia you can only get top of the range pursuit and challenger. I would have got the base model challenger but for the price difference between top range better off getting the pursuit.

I really loved the bike when I first looked at it, and still do, but I went with the Sportster S. Once you have all of the bells and whistles in the electronics package for a daily rider, the the package on a tourer does not need to be performance orientated so much. I am leaning to the Indian Chief Classic or Sportglide ST. I still think the Challenger is a great bike though, I am just more inclined to slim lining my ride.

My next bike will be the Indian challenger. Love that bike. One of my customers rented one for me so I could make him a leather heat shield, tank bib and fender bib. I only had it for a couple of days, but I loved it. If you need any leather for your bike let me know.

I found the turning radius disappointing. The heat from the engine was a surprise. I found the Challenger to be top heavy. The stock bars were awful, the seat lacked comfort. After 2 no starts, 7 phantom check engine lights, failed GPS, TPMS I traded out of mine. Got hosed in the process, Indian trade in values suck. Just being honest here. Brand loyalty can make you blind.

Indians are decent bikes. With that being said, Indians cannot compete with Harley's dealership network, Aftermarket parts selection, fit and finish, and resale value. I do wish Harley would up their game in the tech and power department straight from the factory for the money a person pays, and i believe they will. I'll stick to Harleys, for now!

It is destroying the HD by performance only. But where it counts: Sales, service, fit/finish, quality, aftermarket, and dealerships Hd is still king

Not only performance but tech. If I have to spend 30K for a bike, then pay another 10K just to make it what it was supposed to be, I’ll pass. Tech wise, HD isn’t even close. Even a CVO can’t compare to an Elite or Premium package.

I was dead set on buying a Road Glide until I test rode a Challenger Darkhorse. The Indian destroys HD in performance and bang for buck. Plus the HD is cramped. I’m 6’3” and every Harley I sit on feels like it’s designed for someone that is 5’9”. The Challenger fit like a glove right off the showroom floor.
