India is just like China in early 2000s. And current government is focused on how China grew and doing the same. Infra spending has tripled in last 5 years, high-tech manufacturing is booming. It will all come along. But only when one party rules it. Otherwise it would be so late that it would loose its demographic dividend and be stuck like Brazil.

One of the biggest blunders we Indians made was opening up our economy too late(15-20 years after China opened up its economy). Idk what our forefathers were thinking when even a communist country like China accepted Capitalism & globalisation way before a democracy like India. That 15 years headstart is why China is where its today & India is still struggling. India & China used to be on the same level, infact at one point in the 50s-60s India was ahead of China in terms of gdp & gdp per capita. Our stupid politicians have missed the damn train so many times it literally hurts my brain how anyone allowed this. Whether people back then were even educated or not. Anyway, better late than never. We have arrived. Next 20-25 years yall are gonna see a complete 360 transformation of India

Now we will be in the top 3 economy very soon and will remain so for the coming hundreds of years. India has a long history and heritage. It has never attacked any country ever in its history. It has only responded if attacked. Whenever it undertakes a global initiative, it is always with the global good in mind. This is unlike other global powers who try to dominate the world through loans and building infrastructure. We request the developed countries to support India in its quest for development.

Forget 10 years. I am from India, born and bred but mark my words even 100 years would not be enough to make India a superpower. The amount of corruption, mismanagement, and ignorance of Indian masses is astounding. Even now, the so-called power my fellow Indians boast about everywhere is nothing but a soap bubble. One wrong move and the entire fragile economy would crumble down like a house of cards. I live in a Vip area that houses the current centre govt MP's house and family. And yet there is no electricity, water, the road is dug out twice a year and left it like that only. The Modi cabinet may have good ministers with loyal and respectful working but can't be said the same for the whole party. The discipline of the party that Modi shows at the centre is lost in the states.

Pardon me.."go past China"?? Plz stop hallucinating. A crucial item lacking here is focused education. The World University Rankings show very clearly that Indian education is substandard. Even the prestigious IIT is outside the top 150. For about 2 decades China has produced 1.2 mil STEM graduates. No wonder China is into areas like quantum computing & AI, as well as test-running 6G communications. Check out the ASPI report that China dominates in 37 out of 44 matrices..2nd places goes to USA. 2nd point: the caste system. If no social reform is allowed, Human Capital is a potential unrealised. Some 800 mil people living in the rural countryside which means that their main income is from small-time farming. There's the poverty trap. 3rd factor: from a sociological view point, more than 200 languages & 500+ dialects equals a severe educational & reformation Blockage. They're tribal people - superstitious & irrational. 4th factor: Brain Drain, it's known that US & UK have accepted many brilliant Indians into their workforce, also numerous indian tech people are employed in SEA, the Middle East & N America. Therefore, 5 decades is not enough to catch up with China which is moving ahead - not standing still. To surpass is delusional. 120 countries rank China as their biggest trading partner.. that means much wealth & higher GD😂P.
