If you have actually watched more carefully, SA batters scored around 50 runs from 8 overs of Indian pacers. They scored heavily on spin bowlers. So they werent hitting the pacers before also. Their plan might be to see Bumrah off and target Pandya. But Klasseen;s wicket changed things completely for them and they went in to safe mode instead of hitting. Also SA went with 5 bowlers and 6 batsmen. Jansen, Rabada, Maharaj can hit but they are not pure batsman or all rounders.
