Did you know that allegedly traces of cocaine were found in Trudeau's plane and then it was unable to take off due to technical failures. Then Modi offered our plane to him to return from India to Canada. He refused and then another plane flew from Canada to India to pick him up but halfway thru this second plane also faced technical difficulties and it returned without picking him up. Khalistan was first came into existence when british was dividing India on basis of religion but due to unwillingness of the sikhs at that time no seperate state was created. Sikhs were present both side of border in Pakistan and India. But because of violence in Pakistan(islamic state identity)and india stand of secularism. Sikhs of Pakistan moved to India. And density of Sikhs in Indian state of Punjab increased many folds. Cause Sikhs in pre independence times were actual residents of today's Pakistan Panjab region. So onky few of Sikhs were left in Pakistan and all other chose India as thier future. Post independence Sikhs of Pakistani punjab were prosecuted and then left for western countries and start regretting why they haven't asked for a separate state. After 1971 war when India divided Pakistan into Bangladesh and Pakistan. Pakistan wanted a revenge the same way. So the plot of Separate Kashmir and khalistan is started.check both are adjuscent to Pakistan border. Pakistan that use to prosecute Sikhs now started funding Sikhs to ask for seperate State out of India. But not from Pakistan where as 3/4 of tge actual Sikh land is there in Pakistan. This got American support too as India was aligned to Soviet Union politically. And helped Pakistan to create khalistan movement in 5Is states.

A kinda long comment, but please have the patience to read it. I saw that video, and it seems pretty much biased towards Khalistan. They show the Delhi government as comically evil, like claiming that they were "taking away Punjab's water". Well, without that water, millions would die in Rajasthan. He glossed over the fact that Khalistan movement claims those Indian districts in which Sikhs were never even the largest religion throughout history. They didn't show that Hindus were selectively killed by Khalistanis, before Operation Blue Star. Even for the present day context, he didn't mention that the Khalistan movement took the support of the same Congress party in the 2020 protests. They didn't mention that these "protestors" ripped off the Indian Flag at the Red Fort, and flew a Khalistan flag instead. Red Fort is the symbol of the Republic of India.

How long would it have taken them to show that before Operation Blue Star, the Khalistanis selectively targeted and claimed lives of those Hindus and even Sikhs who disagreed with them? They would stop the bus, line up young Indians and CIaim their Iives. They even assumed the turban-less Sikhs as Hindus and targeted them All this happened long before Operation Blue Star happened! There are videos of Bhindranwale threatening Hindus in his speech! How long would it would have taken them to mention this or include one of those clips? Those new comments were wild. First of all majority of people in India consider anti sikh riots after Former PM's assassination as dark period in the history of India. We have nothing but respect for sikh community because of their contribution in farming and in military. But that doesn't justify actions of these religious fanatics. Also if Punjab had issues in their state, what does it says about their own politicians? India follow federal structure where there's a central government and state government where people from their areas are elected as member of parliament and legislative assembly. Then why some religious fanatics only blame central government for such issues, no matter whichever party was in center in 77 years of independent India? If you want to fight against the issues in your area then you have to stand up for yourself. Because those politicians come from the same society as yours. I will try to keep it apolitical and unbiased as I can when it comes to modern India politics. I don't think it's my place to give support to one side or the other. This is not a very educated reply to "what is up with all these sikh activists all over..."? This "activism" is largely in response to the mass Sikh massacre that erupted in India post the then (dictatorial) prime minister Indira Gandhi's assassination by two of her own Sikh guards (1984). She had orchestrated operation blue star in the Punjab state (Amritsar to be precise). The operation was launched to catch the militant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawalan who had become strong and was gathering some following. It is rumored that it was Indira Gandhi herself who had "created" Bhindrawalan to control the region's politics...much like the US creating the Taliban and unleashing a monster on the world. In the following years much of it was annihilated as the Punjab people mostly grew sick of the "activism" and started helping the Indian govt in catching them. Those left escaped to UK/Canada...accompanied by some survivors of the Sikh massacre and are now active there sponsored by various anti-India forces. It is note-worthy that the Sikh massacre was state sponsored by the then government (Congress).
