As per the latest guidelines, Travel Insurance is mandatory for travelers from India. In my view, you must take the insurance even if not compulsory.

Hi. There were no forex centres before immigration at the Phuket airport.. (at least we didn ‘t notice any).. all such kiosks/centres were after the immigration only.. But, if you opt for the express entry visa, that costs THB 2200, they won’t check anything at all. They will just take the fees and the form and you’re good to go.. but if you go for the normal visa, that costs THB 2000, they might check all the docs and currency. I personally opted for the Express entry, and it was like a piece of cake walk.

What about the sim ? Do we need to buy one and from where ?

I didn’t have to get the rt-pcr test done. It was not mandatory when I visited.

But you will find many clinics in patong area.. some hotels can even arrange a visit at the hotel..

You used priority lane if you can use normal lane they charge only visa fees it's not scam

Agreed. But I just meant that if your documents are intact, then no point going through the priority lane. But if there is even a slightest of doubt in your documents, then pay extra and take the priority lane because they don’t hassle you much that way.

Coming to your question.. You’d find many test centres in market areas. They will provide the report within 24-hrs. You’d notice a lot of boards or signboards. you can also ask your hotel to help you connect with some one. We didn’t have to get the test done because it wasn’t a mandate that time.

Varies from place to place & also depends how soon you want the reports. Should cost around THB 2000-2500. Check with the centres near your hotel.

Hi. I am planning to carry 6000 THB in cash for 2 persons for the Visa and transfer from Airport to Hotel. The rest planning to carry cash of USD(500$) is this fine? I would like to convert in Thailand. Can I show USD as proof at the visa on arrival?

As per the feedback that I had received, authorities are pretty strict about travellers carrying THB only. You might get a different view on this from different people. But I suggest that you carry enough THB if you plan to choose the normal visa. Or else, you can opt for express visa wherein they will not check anything at all. It will be a smooth process without any hassle.

You don’t need RT-PCR to enter Thailand. But as per the latest guidelines, you would be needing RT-PCR to come back to India.

I am only getting Thai baht in 1000 notes here . We are a family of 3 so total visa fees would be 6600 bahT for express. Will i get 400 baht back ?

My wife’s photographs were of different size. But we didn’t face any issues. Just try & keep the background as white. & clear photographs of course. Actually express visa is a piece of cake walk. You won’t face any issues at all.
