India Republic Day flyover 2023 🇮🇳

Fixed wing & helicopters of the Indian Air Force & Indian Army conduct a flypast over the Kartavya Path in New Delhi for the 74th Republic Day parade. Most impressive of all was the C-17 "quick climb" (in my opinion).
The first clips are from the full rehearsal and the latter are from the actual day, where the weather was very poor with a low cloudbase and heavy air pollution. A couple of the formations were not even visible! On another note, it was also the first appearance of the HAL Prachand (new attack helicopter) and the last appearance of the IL-38 (maritime patrol aircraft) which are going to be retired soon.

The C17 climb was pretty impressive. That's something I'd like to see here. Shame about the pollution/haze!

I doubt the RAF would sanction anything *that* extreme with one of their C-17s 😂 USAF crews sometimes do spirited departures however but nothing like this!

@@northoltflightwatch well that's just to show the stuff Indian Defense has in store to protect the country...... and well, you wouldn't call Indian Defense Force as ONE of the BEST Defense Forces in the world along with of course the British, the U.S , the Russian and the Pakistani Defense, to just name a few of the other Defense Forces that are some of the Best in the world.... i actually had to freshen up my mind on the Best Defense Forces in the world because i always consider myself as someone who just loves to learn things.... and by me saying that India has the best defense force, would be a bit too bias on my part since i am an India, myself..... and also i knew that there are other defense forces in the world that are extremely amazing and so i had to include just a few of the ones i remembered.......

@@northoltflightwatch AWESOME! how did you like the people of India, mainly the people in Delhi! because there are a lot of other places in my country, India, to visit and normally people who visit India from other countries come as tourists to see these celebrations.... and i hope that you didn't have trouble understanding Hindi..... because in North India we normally talk in Hindi or our home language, since most Indians speak their native language, while there are very few people who talk in English as a native language, like Anglo Indians or homes where English is used as communication among family members rather than their native language, like my family, we are native to Karnaraka, a state in South India, but apart from my mother, no one in my home speaks Kannada, the state language of Karnataka, while my dad knows Malayalam, while my mum, my elder brother and i don't know Malayalam.... though i know Hindi and i can speak in Hindi only if i have no choice but to speak in another language other than English.... 😞.... so as an Indian who can't talk her own native language, i can understand if you found it hard to communicate with people here... 😞.... but i do hope that you still had an amazing day in Delhi though! 🙂.... Very nice catch. The actually broadcast didn’t show that at all. + should go stand outside the Indian PM’s house and catch his motorcade, think you’d quite like it and it’s rarely caught by the public that I’ve been able to see

well you could have watched the Republic Day and Beating the Retreat celebrations on DD National's channel.... but i guess that for you to have DD channel in the first place, you have to be living in India..... i on the other hand have never watched DD National for a long time since i watch other channels like Discovery and Animal Planet..... so though i do have that DD National's channel, it's seldom used except once or twice a year like during Republic Day and Independence Day.....

@@northoltflightwatch well this goes for all the big cities in India..... not just Delhi, i am afraid.... 😞..... i can give you more names in India where the situation you faced in Delhi is similar, for example: New Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai.... and so on..... but it's all due to the increased population of India and the cities growing and the cutting of the trees on the road sides just to widen the roads for the growing population and growing traffic and vehicles being used......
Nice video, the air pollution is horrendous over there. Did you manage any blue light action?

@@northoltflightwatch and @Andy Daley ... well, I wouldn't think that you will be able to get that much of Blue Light action in India like other countries, except for the ambulances, since it's not that common practice to observe the Firefighters, Police or the ambulances in India .... and also most Indians will think that you are crazy, if you tell them that you want to see a Fire truck or police vehicle in action, because most Indians think "What is so special about a Fire truck or Police vehicle or Ambulance?" ..... and also it's uncommon for firefighters or police officers or even defense personnel to talk about their job to public since most of us Indians would rather word in jobs that pay well than do a job where you know that you are risking your life for someone else's life.... and also fires are not that common since we don't have that many trees or forested areas in India for fires.....

@@ankushzap yes i agree! but well, we still can't hide the fact that India's pollution is totally out of control in not just Delhi or the other big cities in India, but in India as a whole.... but as India's population grows and people start to migrate from one place to another in search of well paying jobs, cities will grow and so will pollution and health issues.....

@@rebeccafionacornel6558 true but I would suggest you to check CO2 levels across world. And it is least over India. And dangerously high over west nations. Better roads and public transport will ease ppm pollution over India. Govt is working on alternate fuel sources.
Footage better than DD national's one. Look like they use 19th century cameras. Everytime they ruin ISRO and parade videos.

I agree with you in this..... i actually stopped watching these Republic Day footage mainly because of the footage.... By the way, when is the "Beating The Retreat" starting? because i seriously love that part of the whole Republic Day celebrations.....

Please explain to me why Britain gives India millions in aid every year when their military is 10 times the size of ours, plus they have neuclear weapons??? Is giving aid to other countries a way to launder money I ask? 🤔🤔🤔 Hell we even give millions in aid to China every year and they have the largest economy in the world! Something very dodgy with this!
Why are we still providing financial aid to India? Maybe if they were building toilets instead of space rockets, and buying military equipment, i could understand??
