Yes, true but we should think practically. In geopolitics, we have to think according to situation as there is no permanent enemy and no permanent friends, especially in geopolitics.

*please atleast see the last line* India should start talks with taliban because taliban is inevitable , taliban is bitter truth and reality , we can't leave such a important country which can give access us to Middle Asia after that western world such USA and UK do not share their border with Afghanistan but we share , we trade with Afghan people whereas they don't. and if we won't start trade with Afghanistan , we'll see a sharp rise in price of some necessary products as dry fruits and our traders will also face huge losses. and as per Sir's previous lecture on 1999 plane hacking , if we have some diplomatic ties with taliban then it will be better for such type of situations. if we don't have any presence in Afghanistan then because of Pakistan influence, their land can be use of terror activities for J&K. we have to counter china's BRI project. long story short .....I want to sum up my whole mindset in a famous line by Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji : - *‘You can change your friends but not neighbours’*

Whereas I think India will follow Russia to accept Taliban as Afghan Government.

Can't say what will India do, but the day India recognises TB, it will be a bigger blunder than the himalayan blunder. India will not only step back from her principles, but also put a bet on a horse fed by China and trained by Pakistan. That's never going to end well. TB has people like Haqqani on desk, the same person who is responsible for so many lives lost in India. What face will government show to the victims of T in India? Or to the forces that lost life defending the borders? Or the commandos and police who lost their lives in anti-T operations?

Two things are very significant in India's talk with Taliban. 1. India chose it's own venue for the meeting which is to tell that India is the superior party in negotiations and is not under any pressure. 2. The MEA statement said the meeting was held on Taliban's request. Which again indicates that India was in no hurry to establish connection with the Taliban.

I think above all India should think and care of her own. If Indian economic influence gets more intensive and strong in Afghanistan compared to China then India should keep peacefull relation with Taliban only if Taliban is ready to accept India's anti-terrorism policies and don't interfere in our internal matters

We should also consider unofficial Spokespersons of Taliban in India and give them RIGHT treatment.
