India heatwave sees temperatures rise above 50C | BBC News
Temperatures have crossed 50C (120F) in parts of northern and central India as the country grapples with extreme heatwave conditions.
Indian summers, which extend from March to September, are usually hot and humid.
But the weather department in India has said the country is likely to experience longer and more intense heatwaves this year.
BBC weather presenter Ben Rich has explained what is causing the intense heat in India.

The heat is too much to handle for us in Punjab
Seems like India is suffering from heat because the Himalayan mountains are blocking warm air from moving further north of India. Creating an atmospheric heatdome that gets worse by the week. I think countries in that region working together to excavate a "man-made" valley would allow heat + flood relief.
