always wanted to see what the programming was like on the Indesit Moons!! Not too much of a difference in proggraming to the normal Indesits around at the time in the end.

Apart from the first rinse and when it fills with softerner. No not much difference. Spin pattern and sash pattern is the same.

It is. Allthough I borrowed a welling motor. Which were also being used at the time.

I personally think it looks better with that door

This machine is a real flop: only very basic programs and even more expensive than other Intesit washers, :(

They did a 1200rpm and a 1400rpm versions. With different colour schemes. Costing between £299-£349. It cost more than indesits top of the line model the 1600rpm 6kg WiXE167. Which was about £269.

Looks better with a normal door. One thing though... cotton standard 60? On my hotpoint cotton standard 60 washes at about 40 °C... so if that's the case in this machine 40°C (ish) is the max temperature!? No wonder there always full of mould!

The answer is yes. The same. most it gets to is 45'c. So how on earth was it ever not going to smell and be mouldy.

@@whichwasher2007 in principle a a very good idea, but poorly executed. A basic, simple, easy to use machine ideal for those who struggle to use other machines. However the detergent dispenser was a bad idea from the start, an ideal breeding ground for mould and bacteria. And the cycle selection is very poor, ideally should have a 90°C cycle, or at the very least a proper 60°C cycle. I do like indesit group machines, I think they offer good value for money. However the indesit moon was just a disaster!

Agreed. The moon was a terrible idea. And went on sale for far too long. They gave the delicates button 2 cycles. So why couldn't they set up a cotton 90'c using the same principle. They could have designed the dispenser like the hotpoint extendia. Which was also a indesit made at the time and a sort of prequel to the Aqualtis.

As it has that jet - why didn’t Indesit program a spin rinse cycle in it? 😕 it would make sense.

Because the jet is the for the detergent dispenser. And not for rinsing clothes.

This washing machine does completely 1400 rpm which is good. But there is no 90 degrees. Some Indesits do 1350 rpm instead of 1400 rpm.

Wait a sec where on earth does the powder detergent go. Surely not directly into the drum. Must be a dispenser somewhere. At the top maybe?

The old door has the detergent dispenser on it. Hence why on the original door, you couldn't see inside

whichwasher2007 the thing is they could've designed the buttons like the WT960's where you can press it a few times and give you different temps/programs. Like on the WT960 where you press the Cottons button once for 40°, twice for 60° (A cycle) and three times for 95°

No balance sensor at all by the looks of it. Didn't rebalance once on any spin.

@@whichwasher2007 it's so strange to see that much wobble in a spin cycle. I've only ever owned LG front loaders and as you know any little vibration that is sensed the machine will stop and rebalance. Which is a good and a bad thing. It's good because it makes sure when the machine does go into it's high speed spin it's very quiet and minimal vibrations. It's a problem because LG puts the worst suspension systems in their machines and they're too flimsy balance anything meaning the washer takes forever just to rebalance because the suspension is barely strong enough to support it's own weight when empty

There's no program of that, only 60C cotton, 40C mixed, 30C delicates, 30C Daily 30' on on it
