Hallo 'thinking' motorists and car drivers! I enjoyed your independent drive in the Pinner, Harrow and Ruislip areas. I'm now knocking on 70 years of age and was brought up in the Pinner and Rayners Lane area. I left there in 1970 to come here to Germany where I've lived ever since. As a Brit to the core, I miss my homeland considerably and thus enjoyed your chauffeur-driven tour of my home area! If I may mention it, there was one technical point I found intriguing in THIS Guildford video. It concerns, for instance, the section of road from about 5:45 onwards. These roads had a countrified character with many roadside bushes, hedges and the occasional drive-in / exit. Now this is a typical road feature in the area in which I live here now and it interested me to see how freely you drove at 40mph past such roadside growths and exits. A say this since I can imagine that your driving experience has equipped you personally to be able to drive so freely and safely on such relatively narrow roads whose vegetation offers a somewhat restricted view of the immediate surroundings. It's quite possibly my psychological make-up that leads to my driving (sometimes well) below the permitted limit on such roads here. This is because I'm rather apprehensive (over aware?) of e.g. children, cyclists, cars, pedestrians in general suddenly appearing "out of nowhere" from "hidden" points on such roadsides. I just wanted to mention the point. Interesting videos. Regards, Horatio Nelson.

Superb video! I am so anxious this really shows an easy overall drive. I wish I had found this sooner. Just passed my test. It’s lovely to watch this and feel at ease. This channel is one of the best. They have a good driving test, show me tell me questions.

HI, just remember on test you cant fail for going the wrong way as long as your safe when you go the wrong way. so if you see and junction and realise you have not seen a sign just guess. Any way is fine as long as your safe :) Good luck

Are there any multi-lane/spiral roundabouts in the Guildford test route like there are in farnborough? Am struggling alot with these so wondering if it would be easier to take my test in Guildford instead of Farnborough?

Not as many, every test area has it differences. Ask your instructor to go to Guildford on a lesson and see what you think. But you can’t avoid these types of roundabouts forever so it is probably best to tackle them now with the help of your driving instructor 😀

Is there a good android game using these rules? I haven't done my theory yet, and I wanna get ready for everything while I'm at it

Good luck remember breath and you don’t have to be perfect just safe and within the rules :) Let us know how it goes

5:51 how do you know it's a 40 limit?

Alex A hi at 2:30 it goes to 40 and has not changed since then, it’s hard to see on the video but between then and 5:51 there are several reminder small speed signs. Hope this helps? :)

Thanks for reply! Were there any signs just before or just after the roundabout, or is it simply that if you go straight on at a roundabout then the same speed limit applies (unless there are signs saying otherwise)?

That's it if you use any junction and there are no change of speed sign before or during or after it then its the same as the last road :)

Rizwan Khan BOB is Boy On Bike and TOM is Tim On Motorbike Basically keep looking out for them as they are venerable road users and can squeeze up next to us Hope this helps

It means watch out for motorbikes that may be squeezing past you
