@@MrTurner94 Texas has been on a revenge tour for all their losses last year. We Could have beaten Washington last season, but a couple of our star players opted not to play in favor of the draft. I think a lot of our stars are hanging around through the CFP.

Outside of the weird first fumble by Tech, Texas Tech completely and physically dominated Cal in eery facet of the game. Blew out those bears

I knew Cal was horrible when I saw them play Washington. The ACC dropped the ball by inviting those Pac-12 schools. Stanford women's basketball is the only championship program they added.

I love college football. I've gone to a bowl game, a Rose Bowl in about 1970. The stands were packed. The game meant something. The current state of affairs is dismal. The stands are mostly empty for these games now. Key players sit out the games for fear injury and harm their NFL draft level. These early bowl games are treated as a reward for the schools and players (those who choose to play in them) for winning 6 games during the regular season. I don't know the stats, but the TV ratings must be dismal, with nobody but fervent fans, students, and alumni of the schools involved bothering to watch them. Cable TV is truly starving for any sort of content. Hopefully, the 12-team playoff format will be the last straw for the bowl game custom. Nice win for the Red Raiders.

Well tbh not many people want to come to Shreveport. Its a small city known for the gun violence and crime. There isnt much for people to do other than go to casinos. They pratically give tickets away to locals and still not many people go. I'm honestly surprised this bowl exists still.the largest turn out i remember was when La Tech played NIU. Thats beacuse La Tech is 45 minutes from here. There are some cool things happening. Used to make lots of movies here and 50 cent just bought a warehouse to stary g unit films or something like that.

Yeah this bowl was a tough draw for Tech fans. We had graduation and Tech vs. Vanderbilt in hoops in Fort Worth on the same day. I'd imagine a later bowl would've seen a better turnout, Tech usually travels well.

Cal got a transfer, Chandler Rogers from North Texas, next year. It will be his sixth year of college ball, and looks like we need him.

Cal did as good as they could do with their players. When you have a school with those academic standards it’s almost like getting an ivy league school to compete. Cal and Stanford will never get to where they were

Cal started like they were a Mike Leach team and as the game went on, they still looked like a Mike Leach team - hot at first, fizzling out and losing. Tech looked so much better than their 57-7 loser selves, so much better than just squeaking past losers like UCF, and much more like the world-beaters they were when they blasted all-powerful Tarleton High.

Someone please email the Communists At Large coach that 6 +2 = 8. Basic math...

32 team playoffs, 16 game schedule, ni more high school schedules, and no playing small blow out game schools. Better competition better for the fans and the players that want to win a championship and the sport.

6-1 day in Bowl Mania An excellent start Only loss so far was that rigged Ohio-Georgia State game. Had I known that Ohio's entire team entered the portal and the game was still a pick 'em, I would have taken Ohio because it was a clear betting trap. My fault for not doing my due diligence with research The refs made sure Georgia State wasn't going to have a chance.

@Dude-etiquette Ideally, there should not be a bowl game between two 6-6 teams. If that's the case, call it an extra regular season game and be honest about it. There could be a few less bowl games and 7 wins should be the minimum standard, but there's money to be made for a lot of people and I don't have a problem with that. You'll get your wish when ratings fall and the stands are empty. But I don't see that happening.
