That is our next plan!

Nice score, nothing better than fresh veggies! We farmed 36 acres and if interested a few tips plant your corn in stages so it doesn't come on at the same time. Black plastic and drip tape is your friend for vine plants, it will save water, grow higher yields, and save save you from weeding! Potatoes are something you can keep through the cold months if stored correctly. Lastly plant nasturstions are an edible flower that attracts bees, but the bugs don't like them! Farming is so rewarding, definitely one of my favorite pastimes!🤗

I think you all are awesome and I have a suggestion I know another suggestion you don't have to do it but since you guys are doing some gardening if you look when people are throwing things away on the side of the road and look for window frames and windows you can make yourself a small greenhouse for your tomatoes and your starters that you're going to do to put in your garden and it doesn't have to be too big and that way you can also do it through the winter just a thought something you can have a little fun with and the kids would enjoy helping you build it too. take care and have a wonderful up and coming week! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

I love the tractor and disker. If you ad some weight to the disker it would stop the sway. 4 or 5 cinder blocks should help alot.

Dont throw away your old knives. Sharpen them and keep them in your garden tools for cutting the vegetables when they are ready to harvest. They would be great for cutting okra and squash off of the vines. Great haul and great job on the gardens.

That's awesome to help the community. You all are amazing. I love old tractor sounds. I inherited my dad's 1947 Alice B when he passed. It has a unique sound and every time I hear it run. It reminds me of him. The tractor has fitted a lot of gardens. That has produced a lot of beautiful produce over the years.

If u can find some used coffee grounds from the coffee shops. Starbucks will let u have them for free. If u sprinkle it on ur raised garden it helps keep bugs down in ur garden. Just mix into ur soil.

Some great produce findings and love the Knife Block Stacey! Was a good day at the dumpsters. Wow your gardens are going to be awesome, I've done lots of it back in the day and used to can alot also, love it! I'm excited to see when you start planting and watch it grow. That is as very old cool tractor, and it runs lol... Very wise to do these days with the cost of food! Thanks for sharing, stay safe.

My Pawpaw use to grow some of the best tomatoes I've ever tasted he would fertilize them with epsom salt so y'all should try doing that you wouldn't be disappointed I promise you.

Composting might be an idea to look into. Lawn and garden waste, human hair (from barbers and salons), shredded paper (from offices), Cardboard (dumpster diving), wood chips (trees not used for home heating or building/ crafting use), animal poop (even from dogs.). To enrich the soil and be greener. Just shredding that kind of stuff into mulch will aid in water retention. Rain barrels on your house and any roofed buildings. Unless state or local law forbids the gathering of natural water. Remember the screening of rain barrel overflows and inlets reduce mosquitoes from using the water to make babies.

A suggestion.Gather some of the rotten fruit and vegetables as well as things like eggshell.Take them home and make a compost bin and put them in. Then you will have some great compost for your garden.

Okay this is just a thought since you guys are starting a garden you can take some of those old vegetable and start a compost pile to make your own fertilizer

Wow!! Y'all are going to have a killer garden!! We are going to put one out too, but it won't be that big! We need to get a tiller so we can get it going. Thankfully the ground here isn't too hard. Going to start our plants in the candle cardboard from bath and body works.

Suggestion. Incase you haven't already you might want to check to see what grows best and when in your growing zone. Some things can't handle the heat of the summer but so great early in Spring and later in Fall. You can get row cover for shade cloths that will also help fight the bugs that like the veg.

Adam you can plant trees, that are Australian that are good wind break trees. They grow 6 inches a year. Also check out juniper bushes that are wind breaks too! Jus a thought! You folks did great. You both are always thinking of others, and that is a blessing. In the Old Testament the farmers would leave a bit of crops on the vine so the poor could come in and glean. In a round about way that's what you all will be doing. Giving to the poor. God bless you all for that!

I think your plan for the garden is fantastic. I do think it will be successful because I only see grocery prices going up. It is sad but I actually saw on the news last night that the price of one avocado is going to be $5 to $6 each. I can tell you this I will be gettin' my avocados out of the dumpsters. You should save some of those seeds from the squash or tomatillos even the cantaloupe, lay them out and let them dry. Not sure if they’d be ready this year or not but I’m sure you’d could research that!!!!!! Nice with the garden idea! I love it!!!!!

i use to grow straberrys ,about the size of your small house garden ,and everyweekend go to the sunday market ,and sell every one ,i did not price them to high,people use to come to my house in the country to buy some ,i even picked boxea for a wedding ,if u r nice ,fun,not to pricey ,people will come for whatever u grow ,i have one thing i used seaweed,they grew so dig and tasty,if u want more ideas just let me know

There are SO many ways to preserve water while gardening. Back to Eden method(though I hear the wood chips encourage fire ants to move in), the rain gutter system, Garden towers, raised beds, the list can go on and on. Also, get rain barrels/collectors and collect it during the rainy season. Hope you figure out something that can work for you. Biggest thing is to not give up. ^_^

It would work better if you put some weight on it so it goes deeper into the ground. Size doesn't matter you can make a big garden with just that you have.

I got a dehydrator ,good for peppers, green beans, onions etc. I love okra have to pick when young or it gets hard
