All too often, the singer gets all the recognition while the ones performing the instrumentals accompanying them are just there and overlooked.

The first girl can sing. Consider the fact of no autotune and close to an acapella. Her voice is isolated except the piano. Every weakness is expose. She did great.

The kid that does Riptide is ...just woah. He convinces me that he isn't just playing a practice track, he sells the emotion in an amazingly special way. Hope to see him get famous.
The kid playing and singing "riptide" is miles ahead of anyone in this video. Great timing, great connection to the song, "clearly". And he can't be more than 11 years old. Absolutely amazing.

Me too. I play myself. I've got videos up. I'd like to think I am pretty good. I started around 28 years ago. I should be better. And had I started when I was younger, I'd be GREAT! So yeah, it's cool when they get inspired by other people's talent. Guns & Roses is why I started playing.

I think that if someone wants to be a performer stuff like this is really helpful in building confidence. I had only ever really performed in an ensemble, so going solo makes me really nervous but it almost always pays off. You don't need to be "talented" just work hard to get what you're performing just how you want it and put your heart into it. Take your guitar and mic and amp and just go for it! Plus, what use is talent if you don't work hard to refine it?

The first and second one gave me chills it was so good
lots of people that wouldn't be able to sing even at gun point commenting how these people suck. Too used to watching youtube videos of auto-tuned singers with an engineering team spending hours in a computer to make them sound good. If you have never tried to sing in your life, it's cowardly to criticize others that do their best.

"If you can't do better dont comment" is got to be the worst argument I've heard. Why shouldn't someone be able to express their legitimate opinion about another persons skill without having to be better than said person? It's ridiculous. I can't do better, but that doesn't mean I'm unable to tell if I like something or not.
@DanyAlejandro
7 жыл бұрын
Why? ineptitude. You don't have to do better, but if you don't even know the basics of something, you just don't run your mouth on negative criticism; you don't have the criteria to judge and that's just trolling. Have you ever tried to sing in public? if so, then my comment is not for you.
@Gamer4073
7 жыл бұрын
Just because a person can't sing or play an instruement doesn't mean that they're not knowledgeable on the matter. Also, if you were to watch a theatrical piece, you'd be stripped away the right to criticize it based on: "You can't write and/or perform better" ? Come on bro, that logic is ridiculous. Everyone is entitled to criticize something out of their own subjective reasons.
@juliusdowning6639
7 жыл бұрын
the problem is when you get ignorant citizens criticising people who are doing something truly incredible, it's not just the singing and playing the instrument. it's having the balls to go for it and sing on the street. Also this criticism is normally completely ridiculous. it's like saying how can a footballer miss a penalty. some things are more complex than the video makes out, just think before you make some silly comment about someone
