I’m a city dweller and know nothing about horses but your videos are very enjoyable and relaxing when I can’t sleep. Good video content and quality.
Your line of work is physical and exacting. It must be very gratifying knowing your efforts bring comfort and relief to the animals you work on.
Me as a horse 🐴.. “Spa day.. time to get my nails done” 😂

I'm not a farrier and I don't even own a horse. I find your video's relaxing and very memorizing. Its all very interesting. Thank you
It would be good to make x-ray for this hoof. It's cracked at the top and red on the white line. You've seen that.
I have learned a lot with your videos man. since here in my town it is very expensive to take Horseshoe classes. and since I was 9 years old I have done it with my dad's horses. but always to old school and looking at people who don't have any training like you. I have learned the most I know now from you and Daniel Anz!!! and from Mustad us. and Mustad Latin American... if it helps you, thanks for your videos. and you should do an economic course online.
New Sub, l didnt know i needed this therapy in my life.....but thank you, so satisfying!!
How long have you been doing it? When did you start? How long did it take to do a horse when you first started compared to now? What mistakes were you making?
Like! Love your videos! It calms me down so much!
Nice job!
Old viewer already subbed. I’m addicted. It’s just so pretty 😮😊

😂 We saw him in the airport once & a friend of mine asked for his autograph, we didn't realize it until later he'd signed his ticket he needed to board the next plane! Felt bad, but too late to catch him. Nice guy though! 😂
I am a new viewer. Your videos are very educational. Thanks
Well done.
One of my favorite part in the video is when he makes the nails even in the shoe although I know that he cannot do that every time it depends on the horses needs😊❤😅
Hey! Big fan, I love how smooth and confident your work is, it truly is relaxing to watch! I don't know much about horses and shoeing in particular, but one thing I've been wondering when watching your videos is; how do you decide if a shoe needs 3 nails on both sides or not? Generally it looks like you usually do 2 on the part pointing inwards to the body and 3 on the outside? Is there a specific reason for why? I'm really curious to know :) thanks!
New viewer! All I can think of is the ZZ Top song "She's got legs," except what's playing in my mind is...he's got skills & he knows how to use them! 😂
congrats with the new logo

I know shoeing horses hasnt really changed much over the many years of horse and human companionship. But I do wonder what it was like for the first few humans to figure out this stuff. Or the mere idea of it.
How does a farrier "size" a horseshoe? Every horse is different, and I see in the videos that shoes have to be shaped and changed to whatever degree; but does the farrier simply eyeball everything? How is the measure taken of the horse's hoof?
First time seeing the shiny stuff put on the hoof at the end. What is it and what’s it for?

Is hoof sole hardness genetic or environmental? I notice that some are extremely hard to carve out, while others seem to fall apart when the blade touches it.

Depends how wet the ground is in many cases. When it's wet outside the hoof absorbs the moisture :)

Environmental mainly but both, some genetics in the fact of sole thickness, and the manner of how the horse grows hoof conformationally and how the body sets itself up to grow the hoof capsule.Think of how your own body grows a fingernail. If you were blessed with strong beautiful nails from your mom, or fragile thin ones depends on genetics. They get really hard in a hotter dryer climate and softer in wet conditions. The color of the hoof makes a difference too. White hooves, like if a horse has white socks, are generally softer. It just depends on the horse. Hope that is clear is mud, and I didn’t step on the owner of this channel’s toes in answering your question.

I love the program, but having a bad back for 20 years, it almost hurts me to watch. I'm wondering if these gentleman have any similar problems or perhaps they're in a position where posture is negligible. That being said, masterful craftsman!
