LMAO My Chrysler 300 Hemi is ten years old, 115k miles and all I do is change the oil at 7500k and trans fluid at 90k. The only problem I have now is getting my son over here to replace the left rear outside door handle. Runs like a big dog and handles like a dream. Beautiful Vanilla paint and Saddle Brown upholstery. The only thing I don't like is it won't pass a gas station.

When you do more of these in the future can you try to show the crew areas? I think the crew mess and cabins are some of the most interesting parts of these boats ( don't get me wrong the bridge, engine rooms and technical spaces are exceeding cool!). Passenger areas are cool but showing how the crew lives on these boats is super interesting. Especially since they have to make do with so much less but usually spend more time on the boats than the owners ever do. Well that and the only way I'd ever exp any of these boats would be as crew so it's cool to see how they live on these boats. The areas they hide crew compartments on 40-60ish boats are amazing IMO. Like secret compartments on the boat you'd never know where there. lol.

I did always wonder if this was a thing. Mega yachts are basically just portable private hotels and the more tours you see the less room they have for toys. This obviously fits with those that want to take their yacht away from the mooring and actually have fun. For me I'd prefer the support Yacht.

If u buy yacht in a tier u can rent bigger or smaller yacht from same corp in your tier level. 3 diff tier budget, luxury or premier class tier. Super yachts r premier class by definition. Mega yachts r class ultra on their own.

And then room for a little bigger crew cabins so they could spread out a little. Possibly a medical bay and or quarantine area! Putting all that stuff on a support vessel would then free up more of the mega yacht for fancy stuff for the guests.

This is a likely to be a multi charter yacht support vessel. A day or half a day with up to two charters at any time. Toys will be in the water when guests arrive. With this in mind a guest can charter a smaller charter and take a half day or several days with this support vessel. Several charters can transfer guests through a day and the charter can move off to make room for others.

4 engines that is quite impressive, but again I like the new hull w/rounded front tall axe for bad weather working ability higher front deck ht, PLUS my yachts in my world will hve a pushing support vessel or side car motor cycle design, so all the fire risk & noise is off loaded onto this working prt u mass produce, & the yacht itself just the fun pretty stuff maxing out useful prt per ft. All the cost & hasle & mechanical & supplying & resupplying & fueling is off loaded onto support vessel. The yacht owner doesn't hve to deal w/crewing or any of that cost except when using that prt right sized for distance speed & occasion. Owner just has to hve his req staff from house or houses w/him & his yacht from his own slip. Just enough engines to dock & maneuver, leaving all the boating & driving cost to the side car or pushing support vessel & all the boating head aches & cost & hassle. The support vessel along the journey can get swapped out so u hve crew that speaks & knows & lives in the area handling your yacht at all times for short time. These support push or side cars can b mass produced in common size & cost of yachting will b cut by 2/3rd easy may b more.

Having I'm polled several friends in Annapolis And the you but several friends in the water community of Colorado… I am sure that the new we support vessel for AWOL should be named BWOL. And depending how you rank the toys I think the defender should have a vanity plate, CWOL, the Ski Nautique stern should be DWOL...And on and on. OF COURSE You will need your larger support vessel because, otherwise, you won't have Room for the FLOATplane! The larger vessel also seems more luxurious to the extent that younger and more active guess would be comfortable and satisfied was staying on board BBWOL...No?

I too have often wondered about vessels such as these in rough weather, more specifically the "safety" of toys carried aboard the "Aft Deck" area with what seems to be rather a low freeboard. Have there been cases where rough seas have swept "toys" overboard...? With regards to the vessels' actual abilities to handle rough seas, it should be remembered that whole concept for such type of was pioneered primarily to cater for the needs of off- shore drilling platforms and as such had to be able to function in ALL weather conditions. "DAMEN" the Dutch shipyard were amongst the first to produce such vessels to service the "North Sea" platforms. Any sailor worth his salt, will confirm that "The North Sea"(the area between the northern part of The United Kingdom and Northern Europe including Scandinavia)is amongst the most treacherous stretches of ocean anywhere, notorious for the sudden development of huge storm systems including hurricane force winds. As far as "seakeeping" is concerned, I think that there is no need for concern, but for comfort of nervous passengers, prone to "Mal de Mer" such voyages might best be avoided..!!

If you have your super yacht and a support vessel you're going to need an additional ship a fuel carrier if your racing across oceans with the capability to do ship to ship replenishment lol.

The Damen Support vessels have large tanks and are able to provide additional fuel to the mother ship.

You could ski behind that boat, can you imagine the wake that ship would make at 20 knots?

I could see this boat as being an independent business and revenue stream. It could be subleased out to charter yachts like AWOL and others on a need basis. Not every one of your charters is going to want ALL the toys, some may be happy with just a few, and not want to pay for things not used, others may want the extreme vacation, and want some extra friends and family to enjoy it with them, then the support vessel is a perfect match. With more than one yacht using the same support vessel, with some scheduling creativity, you could make some serious money!

I'm somewhat surprised the support vessel transits from the Med to the Caribbean on its own power. Many large yachts are ferried on yacht transporters to reduce wear & tear of trans- Atlantic voyages; fuel costs/crew maintenance alone might near pay for a transporter fee.
