Yup my sister used to get excited going to the store and getting her yco floorwax 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂. She just loved waxing , shining dem wooden floors we used to have!😅

Yep i remember yco floorwax. My sister used it when shining our wood floors 😜. If I remember it right it was super red in color, I remember when my parents will buy the in tin cans and my sister would use butter knife to open it up. It was also available small blocks and it wrapped in plastic. Wow! This is very reminiscent ❤

Sir Fern.. yung next building after Elizalde building sa likod mismo ng City Hall is another restored old corporate building called Ker Building.. Ngayon ay city hall museum at gagawin daw later na Art Museum para sa mga local Ilonggo artist.

Sobrang sikat yan YCO floor wax before, May commercial pa yan and basketball team noong 70s, kasabayan ng Crispa and others na sikat bago maging PBA. Ang pag bigkas ng YCO ay eeko hindi wayko. Salamat sa muling pag post mo ng mga heritage mansion and this time building naman.

Maraming salamat sa pagbabahagi ng video na ito. Nakapag-akyat-bahay na ako sa halos lahat ng ibang lumang bahay at gusali sa Iloilo City, maliban sa Elizalde Building na ito, kasi ay nire-restore ito noong huli akong nakabisita. Habang naghihintay na makabalik ako sa Iloilo ay mabuting napanood ko itong video ninyo!

Halos every week ko to dinadaanan impress talaga ako sa Architecture. Hope Lizares Mansion naman.

Gandang buhay.. Napa ganda pa rin nila.

My dad worked for Elizalde and my family lived there from 1969-1982. We had a ball room, where I learned ride a bicycle. Great memories.

Yes, there are 1913 bldgs in calle real (jm basa st) in iloilo city..iloilo used to be the queen city of the south long before cebu became a trading center in the visayas and mindanao.

It is fascinating to go back in history and reminisce

That commercial building is worth saving and who would have thought that it will become a museum.

Excellent iloilo museum sana alagaan n keep it nice...salamat good city...

Napakalaking building, parang palasyo na ang lawak. The building is so huge and long, it feels like you are inside a palace. Iloilo's heritage structures are by incredible.

Years ago, I attended a private dinner. Beside me was seated a very distinguished elderly gentleman, and he introduced himself as Mr. Ynchausti. At that time i recalled the images of the once elegant Ynchausti mansion in Manila that was unfortunately destroyed during the liberation of Manila during WW2. I can't help myself asking him about it, and he mentioned that he was born in that house and lived in it as a young child. It would be great if you can research on old photos of the Ynchausti Mansion in Manila. It was really elegant and grand .

Ang pronunciation po ng YCO ay hindi waiko kundi eeko. Halatang batang bata ka pa. Kung mahilig ka sa basketball alam mo yung YCO Painters

Salamat po at inikot mo kami sa building nayan. Nong maliit ako nadadaanan lang namin yan. Mi ari lam mo na mga Kababayan nating Intsek. Buti naman ginawa nang museum. Dapat lahat ng school mgkaroon ng field trip sa mga museum nayan para matuto mga kabataan ng history ng ating bansa. Umalis ako dyan mi tren pa pgbalik ko wala na. Ano kaya ngyari? Punong puno ng pasahero yang tren nayan from the city to Passi, Iloilo. Nauwi ako gamit yang tren at feeling ko nasa Europe ako kasi ang ganda tingnan ng view malinis ang hangin at Green ang paligid. I hope di nila kalimutan ang old Iloilo City. Napakasaya namin mamasyal dati at manood ng mga sinihan. 1991 umalis ako pra lumakbay sa ibang bansa.

Serving plate or platter in ilonggo is 'palanggana', serving bowl is called 'yahong'.

Saucer is called 'platito', bowl is called 'yahong', I forgot the small bowl or mangkok in ilonggo but I think it's ' yahong yahong', tthank you❤️👍

Spear is called 'bangkaw', sibat in tagalog.

Boss, check mo rin ang tamang pronunciation. Ang YCO ay pronounced as IKO, hindi way-ko. Ang Y ay pronounced as I in Spanish like in Ynchausti. Ang Compania ay hindi pronounced na "kompanya" , it's pronounced as "kompani-ya" like in Spanish.

Banca with katig on each side is called 'baruto' or 'sakayan', paddle is called 'bugsay'. Thank you ❤️👍

Ma-mah is made of: buyo(specific type of green Leaf), bunga(hard seed that they bit to chew, small portion of tobacco leaf, and white paste is 'apog' they called it 'the set' for ma-mah! '' Tabako' is made of rolled dried tobacco leaf that they smoke like cig. But they don't inhale the smoke they only puff. 'dahon tabako' is the leaf. Thank you👍❤️🍷🌹
