Если уж не получилось полностью очистить бока и верх от зеленого оттенка, я бы замаскировала его более гармоничной светло-коричневой краской, чтоб гармонировала с прекрасным рисунком дерева. Серый все испортил, он как будто кислород перекрыл прекрасному началу фасада.

I don't like the grey paint either, but I can see why he did it. Sanding all the green out would have removed far too much material, and I'm not sure even bleaching would have worked. The stained parts are beautiful.

On the sides, the green paint has completely penetrated the first layer of plywood. It was impossible to get rid of the paint except with very hard sanding. Actually, I thought I bought matte khaki green acrylic paint, but it turned out to be the usual grey. I think it would be nice if I could find someone who could draw beautiful patterns on it :)

A navy paint over the gray would look good with the stain color. Easy fix. The wood part looks great.

I Think Calling It a "Hulk" Dresser was Correct. It Sure Made Me a little Angry Looking at It. I Also Got some "Green Eggs and Ham" vibes When You were Scraping the Paint off! Amazing Work! Excellent work! I think it's easier to remove the knobs before you strip the old paint or finish off the drawers. You can either put tape on the inside of the drawer front or just reverse the knobs so they are inside and only the head of the screw is on the side you are stripping.

Thank you very much. This is the first time I encounter such a stubborn paint. And of course it's completely ingrained into the first layer of plywood on the sides.

Not a lover of painted furniture, but when done appropriately and well I have to admit it can transform a piece, as this has. Can I ask what that 'Old English' finish is? Seemed to do a great job, but never seen it before (even though I'm both old and English). As always, you have the vision to see the potential of a piece (I wouldn't have given it a second look). My loss! Keep up the good work, loving it, thank you.

Thank you very much :) Old English is a Rox Wood brand wood oil. It's a little dark in color. It leaves a pleasant waxy appearance on the wood.

I love that shade of green. Would like to have seen this dresser freshly painted. Can't tell what wood that is. This came out looking good! I felt the green would not entirely sand out or strip clean. The grey looks great against the natural wood tone!

I did wonder how deep into the wood grain that hideous green paint would have seeped. Nice that the beautiful woodgrain pattern on the drawer front could be salvaged, and painting the rest was really the only other option.

To have colored the insides of the body and drawers was some kind of dedication, and yet for all that dedication, it was such a haphazard job. I've never seen a paint-like substance crinkle up like cellophane before, and still be obviously stubborn at coming off. Incredible, indeed. It might've looked nice with an even coat of a transparent more-'plant'-less-'kelly' green stain, but whatever was used was not that. Looks so much better, back to natural.

My brother and I have been building/refurbing furniture for years and we are getting ready to open a furniture business but we are going to specialize in 3/4 furniture that is used for Tiny houses, pull behind RV's/Campers and small apartments, that whole genre is a HUGE market because more and more people are going tiny and are getting back into RV/Camper family vacations and there is very little retail outlet for it b4cause more often than not it has to serve more than 1 purpose and we want to be that outlets for that. For instance this dresser, take the top drawer out put a piece of plywood on the bottom and drill a hole in the center with a hole saw bit in the back and you have and entertainment center for a tiny house/apartment, add some I hooks to the side and you have an and a pots and pans rack for a Camper/RV that you can also use to store food in.

No wonder it was called the Hulk Dresser… that green paint was as strong as the Hulk!

I dislike stripping paint such a pain an awesome process to watch but so much work! You go into outs of detail hope you resale for a profit.😊

My goodness that poor little dresser had seen some truly nightmarish STUFF.. lol.. really nice job saving it from the landfill👏👏

Thank you. Yes, you're right, this wasn't actually the paint color I ordered, but I used it anyway. Maybe I can find someone talented who can draw nice patterns on it :) I talk to people a little less these days, I think this is reflected in the video :) I used Burma color stain, "old English" oil and lacquer on a part that I did not film.

The green paint was completely embedded in the first layer of plywood on the top and sides, it was impossible to remove the paint without destroying the first layer.

it's my thought...furniture is meant to be used...the owner of said furniture is free to paint it or not...abuse it or not...my taste does not appreciate that green...i will say that i feel that you took a broken, discarded, over used piece of furniture and created a perfectly lovely, functional piece of furniture...no trace of green ;) the gray/beige color you used was perfect... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
