Very recently I learned about this lingering disturbance in the wake of an aircraft and is the reason landings are spaced as they are. This video perfectly illustrates that lesson. If another aircraft were to follow in that turbulent wake, the landing might not be so comfortable. Thanks for sharing!

This is very underrated. I landed in LAX when it was like this, a super dense fog about 2,000 feet hight. What's crazy was over LA you saw a giant wall of fog just suddenly appear... so cool.
