Given the fact that the handle wasn't present on the suitcase when I got it and given the fact that my purpose wasn't to restore the object but to makeover it, it seemed unlikely to ad it when it was missing from the beginning. Replacing a suitcase lining usually helps get rid of mustiness, and odors and such that can get into anything stored inside. The red and white stripe paper was beautiful though and a wonderful crisp visual relief from the staid brown leather outer. I think a red and white leather lining would have been both beautiful and a cool nod to the original. Still I don't know what he wishes to do with the piece or what he might want to store in it. Say plans to display it open to house a collection and the collection would look best with a plain creamy background. Thus he used the lining that he did. There are so many variables to consider.

Hello! Because this kind of suitcase is made up of cardboard, which in my case was severely damaged. Taking it off would have meant remaining without a suitcase...😅

Hello, nice to have you on my channel! Unfortunately, those kinds of cases are all made of cardboard and paper. Thus, "cleaning" would have been quite impossible to do.

well, given the fact that when i've got the suitcase the handle was absent, i've preffered to leave it that way. thank you for your time.

Your goal of taking something destined for the landfill and turning it into something useable was great. The overall level of craftsmanship was great. I know these vedioes aren't easy to make, however I would have liked to have seen a little more attention to detail paid to the seams and transitions of the diffrent materials. Overall I liked the video and great job.
