When you travel to places like kurdistan then you should call the name of the cities by their proper name by the name the natives call it you British and French did a lot of harm to the kurdish issue so don't do more destruction I don't come to your country and do what you British did to my native country you should stick to europe

@@mustsphamatto3601 There is a sizable Armenian community living in Lebanon dating back to the days when the Ottoman Empire prosecuted them. Most of the new generation was born and raised in Lebanon. They are full Lebanese citizens and are more loyal to Lebanon than some of the other Lebanese. They are very prominent in business and have representatives in the Parliament and government.

During your next visit, try HARIA RESTAURANT IN ADJALTOUN, get a cab from somewhere around Adonis or kaslik. For a more elaborate seafood checkout AL SULTAN BRAHIM RESTAURANT in antelias autostrade, beirut. Love Lebanon 🇱🇧
Harriet and i have been to Beirut many years ago before the civil war. The takeaway we got from Lebanon is its kind people and of course it's delicious food. You guys have given us the spark to visit again. Thank you for all that you do to bring it back into our mind set . As always, we Love you Dearly ❤❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va.
As a Turkish person I can say that our food is deeply inspired by the Lebanese cuisine even if we have a very different culture.

I’m pretty sure it was a both ways type of thing. I read somewhere that shawarma for example comes from çevirme(not sure if that’s the right word) which means rotating meat in some way. I’m guessing that’s not the only thing we took.
@Ahmed-pf3lg

You don’t have a very different culture. Lmao. That’s a fact. But Turks are racists to Arabs and don’t want to be associated so you keep lying to yourself about this 👍🏽
The Labneh you had for bfast is quite traditional and pretty similar to fromage blanc (eaten throughout France). Labneh is not yogurt however; it is yoghurt that has been drained of its whey for a day or two. This is a way to “preserve” yoghurt during long winters when cows don’t produce as much milk. In snowbound villages the labneh is drained even longer, then rolled into balls and kept in jars covered with olive oil (oil blocks bacteria from forming). And that’s how farmers maintain access to dairy products as they wait the arrival of spring.

It’s not Armenian. It’s an Arabic word meaning “Meat Dough”. Lahm means Meat and Ajeen means Dough. That’s a bullet proof that it’s Arabian in origin, so Lebanese.

Lebanon is currently suffering from an economic collapse and a sharp drop in the currency due to the cessation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide it with financial aid. Lebanon is a very small country that has no wealth other than successful doctors and surgeons, tourism and ports. They have clean restaurants and varied food. I hope you will find friendly friends in Lebanon.

أجمل شعب لبنان ❤ i Love lebanon
I lived in Istanbul for 9 years, and a lahmacun should come with fresh lemon, green lettuce, sliced tomatoes and sliced raw onion. Some people like parsley too. You squeeze the lemon on the meat (which should be lamb mince) and add the other toppings before folding it in four. It’s always accompanied by ayran, the yogurt drink.
Thank you for this awesome video!! I just want to try all these Lebanese food even more! How long were you in Lebanon? And did you move around using public transport?

Brilliant video! You missed the opportunity to taste T Marbouta’s spicy potatoes dish and Fatoush salad! They are to die for! The decision to remove any greens from the falafel definitely made it spicier 😅, overall you got most of the locations right. What makes an ice cream Arabic is actually rose water and the way it’s made (which involves a beating of the ice cream) I doubt you can get a good one in Beirut because it’s famous in Tripoli and Saida but the taste is so good !!
