@@Xxeviexx540 As well as this video and song, i literally have hundreds of videos, podcasts and music playlists downloaded on my tablet and phone just in case I don't have access to the internet anywhere like on a train or plane... I usually also download a few more before I set off to travel if I'm currently mid-way through a show or have been recommended something to watch.

Hi, what a lovely choice of music you made. I flew to Lanzarote 1st time Jan 2013 Landed from the sea. Went on Island trip with very well versed local person Paul. Told us everything of the Island-he was right about everything. He did say if the Scirocco wind is blowing from the West then landing is over the land, far more tricky for the pilot. Ty this is a good view of the Island hope your holiday was good.

I think we were spoilt that day. Was such an amazing landing and a fantastic start to our holidays.....

You were extremely lucky to have got that shot! I have connections to island and have been countless times, also stayed in Tias where you can see the whole airport and I don't think iv ever saw a plane land that way on the runway ever!! Usually sweep out over the ocean and come in from the other end so you dont see anywhere near as much before you get there! Must be something to do with noise,but then again they all take off over that way, maybe conditions of the day and traffic etc. Nice vid.

I flew Birmingham to lanzarote and back with Ryan Air was not two bad bit basic the best I flew to lanzarote was jet 2 and euro Atlantic 767 a long haul plane but on a short haul flight they was laid on for a tomas cook flight back to Birmingham

The video was awesome. What I really liked was the soundtrack, Abba's "Eagle", which seems to go perfectly with the panoramas. Please take care with those zoom in/zoom out functions, because they can ruin a whole video, although not in this case.

Excellent video, in all my visits over the last 15 years, I've yet to fly in over the island. Easy to spot the Gran hotel at 3:30 .

I remember a few years back ,one easter holidays, coming in to land at arrecife, windy as usual. We seemed to reach hotel roof level and then the jet engines kicked in and off back into the air we went. Me, the Mrs and a couple of hundred people absolutely went "s**t" in unison. Apparently the pilot was given clearance to land but spotted a plane still taxiing on the landing strip and thought better of it! The pilot got a louder cheer than normal that day.

Great video, this is one I would like to film, we always fly in over the sea, how lucky are you! and such a clear day.

your camera isnt actually going to interfere with aircraft navigation systems at all. Its things that carry signal like phones and wifi emitting/receiving devices that will cause interference. They say no electronics basically so people arent using headphones and games and they then aren't actually distracted or unable to hear in case a sudden emergency occurs,

This is a strange landing over the island all the landings iv done there a fair few we have aproched over the sea never over the island and landed the other way around of the runway

@alan517815 Don't think forgot to say, we've been going there for the last 14 years and generally do land over the sea as you say but if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction they have to land from a different direction though has only happened to us once.

Got back from Lanzarote on the 23rd if December 2013, it was great, I want to go back haha after being in the warmth and returning to Manchester at 1:00am into the cold is the worst thing ever ): I miss this place, we stayed in Oasis Lanz I think it was in costa teguise? Not far from the airport, plus we went to the Rancho Texas Park and some aquarium close to where we were. I was really surprised that they had a euro spar I was in heaven haha hope you had a good holiday (: x

@danlucamkie That's right, I just flew back from there last night and 2 weeks earlier I landed there, also via the sharp turn. You nearly never see them fly in straight.

The most common wind direction is NE so the majority of approaches are made over the sea. Landing like this requires a southerly.
